Power to PUPs.
Just curious if you use to post on CC using a different screen name. Your posting style and some of the threads you post to seem very familiar.
No I have not and I I reply to the posts that interest me

At least you have something to look forward to. 🤣
((did you recently change your CC screen name?))
Yes it will be the happiest 100th birthday ever! What do you mean about my screen name?

I also received 10, now I'm 49 points from Elite +
I have 7 (total) and with the rate at which I cruise I am only 38 years away from being elite.

The Governor was speaking about those citizens in Florida. Cruise lines can and will demand that all passengers be vaccinated.Do you mean that they cruise lines can ask all who board for proof of vaccine, other than FL residents?

Without getting into the whole story, the simple version is that you say, "Gee...You have a lot of unsold Sky Suites...what would it take to move to one of those?" Of course, like any negotiation, there is give and take...I got my suite, I got some better perks...but I also paid more money. What spurred me to do this was moving to the Athens cruise...Usually, I watch the pricing on the website...and when I see a drop in price...or the opportunity to upgrade for a small price, that is when I call...
Ahh, so you call Celebrity directly and do not use a TA, or so it sounds?

Thank you!

Please ignore and don’t reply to the troll. You’re not gaining anything by debate. And all of us ignoring them see your replies. And they see there have been replies...How do you put a person on ignore?

George, we were all set to try to put together a small group and private tour for the Israel ports...
BUT, we just renegotiated our deal and moved to a Sky Suite...and now have $1750 in onboard credit and nothing to spend it on other than shore excursions...So, for us, private tours are out the window.
The current list of Celebrity excursions still suck...So, I sent an inquiry to their "Private Journeys" department to see what we might be able to come up with that's different than what's offered...
How does one renegotiate their cruise deal?

I think they will be refurbished and made into space ships for luxury voyages to Mars and back with a stop over on the moon for some sightseeing. As good as anything out there now or anyone comes up with I think
I wonder if they will require proof of vaccine?

I have no idea, but I sure would love to know whether Celebrity is planning cancel, maintain, or reorganize the Infinity sailings this summer and fall in the Med...
I have a vested interested with BTB sailings in late August. With so much uncertainty it is difficult to plan with any sense of what will happen, especially since they could just as easily create 7-day itineraries (and not allow BTBs) as cancel the whole deal.

If I cancel my FB account, will I lose the points already received?
If by FB you mean cancelling a FaceBook account, my experience is it is by design virtually impossible. I have not used FB since Sept 2016, deleted the app and all my information yet I still get the so and so has just checked in to xxx restaurant (and I am pretty sure while there they posted a pic of the most incredible burger ever produced at Applebee's) or has updated their profile or posted a new picture/selfie. So annoying.

I can't wait to start judging people again for things that matter like their poor choice of clothing, thrifty tipping habits and inane planning over simple domestic travel!
And standing in line at guest relations to remove tips for the horrid service received at xxx restaurant etc. Grab a glass of wine and sit back and watch the AI entertainment, wearing totally inappropriate clothing of course.

My glass is always half full and my bags are packed and ready to go! 🍷😎🚢🛳
The half full problem is easily corrected, just keep the bottle close by and you never need to leave your seat for a refill.

More and more the posts seem to becoming more positively focused on a return to the actual cruising experience. Love seeing the topics on Retreat, suite questions, late night dining, buffet etc. which is why I joined CC. Fairly new here but have looked at a lot of the topics on vaccine, Gov decisions, is it safe, anti-vax etc. it is nice to sense people are starting to feel better about resuming cruising. I just kind of feel it is reflected on some of the recent topics. Happy sailing all, April 2022 for me.

I understand that the risk is minimal. But I shouldn't be attacked or ostracized for being cautious or called an antivaxxer which I am not. How long does the vaccine last? Will we need to get a booster shot every few months? What about natural immunity? I had covid, do I even need a vaccine? No one can answer these questions because it has been only a few months since vaccines rolled out.
Some here have called people "idiots" who right now are not comfortable with getting the shot. I have called out those who have said it, but you know how that works! A person needs to make and has the right to do so, best decision for them even if it is a wait and see. Some folks on here are a bit cra cra Bill Gates is chipping me etc, totally different from what you are weighing, IMO. Good luck!!

And if grown mature(??) adults would act like adults, instead of focusing on being immediately on line at the buffet, things would improve immensely. Same mentality people have when merging on the freeway from the on ramp, gotta be first, gotta be first.

We just found this out from our Celebrity PVP and confirmed it by finding it in the Future Cruise Credit FAQs on their web site. This was big news to us as we have accumulated 6 FCCs each so far with probably more to come. Thank you Celebrity for changing your policy!!
Can you use your Future Cruise Credit (FCC) on an existing booking?
Yes. These FCCs can be applied to satisfy any remaining balance due for the cruise fare on an existing booking. However, FCCs cannot be used to obtain a refund. A recent enhancement now allows multiple FCCs to be applied per guest within the same reservation. All Global Suspension and Cruise with Confidence FCCs are valid for use by 4/30/22 on sailings departing on or before 9/30/22.
Sweet!! And all this Celebrity slamming over the past months, they want us on board!

I have a couple of family members who are not getting the shot. Unfortunately they believe the purveyors of conspiracy theories. Arguing or convincing them seems pointless as they go off of the deep end.
I just got my 2nd Moderna jab on Friday.
Good on you! I am so looking forward to my second Bill Gates chip injection on May 3!!!

Would it make any sense to have some lag time between those disembarking and those embarking? For example everyone off by 9:30 and check in doesn’t start til noon.
Of course it makes sense, which is probably why it will not happen
