Excited to follow along! I'm booked on a B2B on Beyond on Dec 4th and 11th and can't wait. I was on the B2B Inaugural EDGE cruises a few years back and really loved it. Beyond looks even better than the EDGE!
Id love photos of the plunge pools by the Sunset bar area... and if there are loungers by them.

Sheltielover, please do report back. I don't think I am remiss in saying that those of us who have B2B or B2B2B cruises booked in the next few months want to know what X is doing.
will do

With Princess now dropping almost all testing this week and NCL having already done so (obviously with exceptions for specific destinations in both cases), things are changing so rapidly that I suspect protocols will be different in January.
they dropped testing for B2Bs?

following.
I have 2 b2b's booked before Jan 1st.
My first is next week on Summit out of Miami- so I can report back to this thread with my experience.

I'm on the Dec 4 and Dec 11 b2b on Beyond. Hope to run into her.
I was also on the EDGE a a few years back on a b2b and I was in St Thomas coming back to the ship from a little splurging at the Louis Vuitton store. She was walking off the ship with some people and was so cute when she saw me with all my Louis Vuitton bags! She's like "you go girl!" lol! What a hoot!

We were tested and both B2B's on our B3B. Initially they didn't plan on testing but near the end of each cruise we went above the 3% rate and had to be tested. On our last one at 9:00 AM they told us we would not be tested and then 3 hours later there was an appointment time on our door. I believe going forward it will be dependent on how many cases of Covid pop up. All of the cruises were over 11 days so more chance people will test positive while still on the ship.
this makes me so nervous! but just going to go and enjoy and hope for our entire 14 days of heaven! Thanks Jim!

I started cruising again last September - they never took our temperatures back then.
Interesting.. last Dec we had ours taken out of Ft Lauderdale.

No temperatures taken and the health check are the same questions you fill out in the App. For some reason they still go down the list and fill in again (at least for us on all of our recent cruises and B2B's).
good to know! thanks Jim! And good point on the back to back as well-- I'm on a back to back the end of this month. Did they end up testing you between the cruises? I know thats at Celebrity's discretion based on how many positive cases on the ship

They have not taken temperatures since the restart. Our first cruise since the restart was August 2021 and we have done a number since and never had our temperature taken. There used to be a questionnaire with a lot of health questions that opened in the app around 1:00 the day before boarding, you did that in the app and then at the ship they asked you if there were any changes. For our cruise on September 3 on the Infinity all the paper work suggested that still existed but there was no longer a place for it in check in in the app, we didn't get asked to do it and we didn't get asked anything at boarding. The questions in the App are now if you have your first two COVID vaccines, if you have your COVID booster and if you will be X months pregnant before the cruise. On the September 3 sailing (before the testing changes), they scanned our express pass, scanned our passport, look at our vaccine confirmation and looked at our test result and we were walking onboard.
We are cruising on October 24 and all of the notices we get still suggest the health questionnaire will open in the app before boarding, but the space for it still isn't there, so I think that is just a left over that they haven't fixed in the emails they are sending out.
good to know. im out of miami on Summit Oct 27 so was just curious.
Last Dec on APEX they did a temp check.

Congrats to your Mom..as Jim noted it's one thing to quit and another thing to "stay quit"!! Be sure your Mom knows that there is still a very slight amount of alcohol in the NA brands. The saying in AA is "Non alcoholic brands are for non alcoholics". There are a number of non alcoholic "mocktails" on board that she could try. Elsewhere on the Celebrity board a CC member just posted a very comprehensive list of all the ones she tried with great descriptions. I wrote them all down and I'm taking the list with me in a week on a T/A.
oh thank you LuAnn-- do you know the CC member who posted this name? I'll try and find it- would love to have that to share with my mom!

I can't drink as it is my major trigger for migraines so have been drinking non-alcoholic wines for about 40 years. I personally don't like the Bubbly - leaves a taste in my mouth I don't like. My favorite is the Merlot or Red - dry and flavorful. White to me is a bit sweet - Rose is a nice blend.
Send my best wishes to your mother. I use to teach a class at a local university on "Understanding Addictive Behavior" I would have guest speakers from about every 12 step program you can think of. They all use the same 12 Steps and I would learn so much from each of the speakers.
One closed her share with "It's easy to stop drinking, it's a B**ch to stay stopped". Really put it into perspective.
I'm going to share that quote with my Mom! So very true! I'm so proud daily to be her daughter!
Best,
Aimee

Yes they have a full range of Non-Alcoholic wines by Fre (by Sutter Home). They generally have Bubbly, White, Rose, Red and sometimes a NA Merlot. For beer they usually have Odoule's and Heineken Zero
The waiters have a full list of NA cocktails they will gladly mix for her also.
If she is interested they also have evening Friend's of Bill meeting that are listed in the daily.
This is just awesome- thank you Jim! I can't wait to spoil her! We just celebrated her 76th birthday!

It will vary as to availability but on our recent Summit cruise there were three wines and at least 2 NA beers on board.
3 non alcoholic wines? She will be so happy! I just hope for 1! thank you for the reply!

I'm taking my mom on the Summit out of Miami in a Suite at the end of Oct and shes a recovering alcoholic (so so proud of her!)
Is there ANY type of non alcoholic wine or at least beer on board?
-
do they still have you meet in a common area with the other b2b cruisers when the first leg is getting off the ship?
