I would not trust or believe one word from John Heald's facebook page. A week out of our April 30th, 5 day cruise on the Breeze John said the ship would be back from dry dock from Spain on time. 3 days before the cruise we received a latter from Carnival that the Breeze was going to be late and is now a 4 day cruise. Just saying..
So many hang onto every word he ever utters.

Maybe you all need to think back to the weather patterns in the US (and the Gulf of Mexico) in February, March and April.
If it can cause flight delays and cancellations throughout the country, it can also affect ships navigating the through the high winds and waves that the systems caused in the Gulf.
Dream makes it back on time every time, Vista, rarely does.

Will be on the Mardi Gras in October. If the Pig and Anchor food is like it was on the Vista we will skip it. On the Vista the "Molasses" baked beans had no taste of Molasses, no smoke ring on the meat and the Andouille sausage tasted and looked exactly like a brautwurst.

We were on Vista the end of February and were late getting to one port. After that one port everything else was fine.
On the Vista in March, it was late getting back to Galveston, past weekend it was late getting back to Galveston. Seems it gets back late more than on time.

I don't spend much time on the RCL boards, but I know that there was a core group of "Loyal Royals" there years back. I'm guessing that has not changed much...

I have not dined in the MDR for dinner in a few years, but might on an upcoming sailing just to get the Prime Rib.
By any chance do they still offer escargot on some evenings? (shot in the dark!)Tom
I did see it on the menu on my Vista cruise 3-26.

Here's my guess. It's only that.
The inshore winds on Thursday night were gusting to 37 mph. Combine that with a fast moving line of rain that battered the gulf offshore for about 90 miles out and that might have been the cause.
.On our 3-26 cruise on the Vista it docked late, read several reports where the Vista is docking late the last several months.

How was the traffic northbound on I45 out of Galveston?
There was an emergency repair to the causeway bridge north and south bound Saturday. Live just 20 minutes from the island but it took us two hours to get there weekend. It was 3 hours to get back.

If the Hub app is working don’t they send you a notice that your table is ready and you have 10 minutes?
If it is working, my Vista Cruise 3-26 the Hub didn't work for the first 2.5 days.

I'd pay $20-$25 more per person for better food, but if their "entertainment" is the same as their shows it would be a hard pass. Carnival production values are about the same a middle school musical.

😄 That ended up being my (and my wife's) go to drink in Havana. Need to pick up some Bacardi Razz and try to replicate at home now.
It really needs that 8 year rum. Tried with a 4 year rum and didn't have to same taste. Also recommend you look on you tube for "Super Lime Juice" we tried with just regular lime juice and it didn't have to tartness as on the ship, the super lime juice does.

I wonder if the super cheap deals are attracting people who don't know how to behave in public.
No because I have seen similar things from my first cruise in 2010.

My personal rule for the Havan bar at least, is no more than 5 Cuban Ice Tea's in one sitting.

Port of Nassau has been under construction since my first time there in 1973!

Worth it for me and girlfriend, she starts her day with two coffees from the shop, second loaded, energy drink for me, couple soda's for me, a few drinks on the lido catching sun, several Cuba Ice Tea's in the Havana bar, after dinner drinks.

At age 35 I would say yes, But I am 55 now so I say no. My days of drinking 10 a day or even 5 or 6 on a consistent basis are in the rearview mirror! Father time has won 🤣
Few years older than you, while it does take longer to recover as you get older, I can still put down 8-10 alcoholic beverages on a cruise. Oddly I rarely drink at home though.

Is this new ? I have never did a Joint party on a ship 😲. But I have smelled it walking around the ship.😆
Least they could do is be nice and share it. Don't Bogart that joint my friend (as the song goes)

Make sure you let the people sitting next to you that you are platinum. Our last two cruises we stopped going to the MDR as each time we were seated next to couples that were platinums on multiple lines and made sure we knew it every 15 minutes.

Very much the conundrum for us. I'm a early riser ( like 4-5 am) and my girlfriend likes to sleep till 9-10 am, I'm ready for bed at 9 pm and she is out till midnight so our steward has to find a time between 10 and 5 to do our room.

We have not been getting any great $25 cruise deals and all RU9 offers we've had were no deal at all. In every case it was cheaper to book the cheapest fare code available and add Cheers separately. 😞
All the deals that hit my inbox or on the app are for the Conquest for 3 day booze. Not driving 18 hours for a booze cruise.

How do you know if you can use Verifly to check-in?

Not so much as people being tech adverse, but people are getting real tire of having to have another app just to do something. Also so many apps end up leaking data that should not be leaked.
