We’re you able to take fresh flowers onboard Encore?  I missed the window for ordering flowers via NCL and would like to take some ontothe cruise this Saturday. . 

Re you seeing whales - very cool!  I saw one pod of whales from my room balcony using binoculars on the Sep 3 sailing. I didn’t see any breaches and wasn’t sure what type they were but didn’t see any white markings. So assumed not orcas. I also saw some sea lions and eagles at port in Sitka from my cabin before we departed

in Seattle we had a 12:00 check-in and there was a line for that check-in at 11:15. The terminal did not allow the check-in to happen until the appointed time. If you don't mind standing in line you start from a closer point, but if standing is difficult there are still places to sit . The check-in went well but takes time and you need every paper available to show the multiple folks that are doing the check-in procedure. I didn’t have a positive check in experience for Ovation on September 3 at 2:30 pm. Worst part of trip. I got there on time and waited a very long time. My Frustration with compounded by the fact that when I was the next in line to be processed the agent closed the line and did nothing to assist me in getting a comparable place in another line. I had to start at the back of a different line. I didn’t think that some other of the staff really knew what they were doing and a lot of things seemed ad hoc. Not everyone seemed to have the same experience. Security was more rigorous than TSA for my flights. There was confusion about whether a passport was required. Maybe security was just overly  gung ho but it seemed excessive and also seemed arbitrary depending on who you got. Maybe because I don’t have a special status or was traveling solo I got more scrutiny. Maybe I just had bad luck. There were no issues with my paperwork so it was annoying. I did everything by the book. The rest of the trip went smoothly.

Also seated with other solos at the counter for Izumi Sake and Sushi but not at Wonderland.

Last I heard they are not seating solo cruisers with others.  Tables in mdr are for those you are traveling with only.  But i suspect you will see plenty other solo cruisers and may be able to arrange a table next to each other.  Check with mdr host when you board

RCCL should just do rapid tests before boarding and charge people for it.

I am on Ovation leaving Sep 1st. I don’t see anywhere to upload my vaccination card. Where is that?  I checked my app and don’t see it. 

Thanks everybody for these tips. I was able to get a $100 credit and reduce my May cruise by about $300. Only have paid a deposit so far. Yay!

This has been a problem for me. I called on July 21 to cancel an Anthem cruise that the itinerary was changed from Norway to Spain/Portugal. I had to call repeatedly over several days to get something in writing and it was still ambiguously written and the refund owed. Recently I got an email to check in on the canceled Anthem cruise, which was rerouted a second time to the British Isles, yet sailing is not till Sep 5. So I am still calling still and not at all confident that my cruise was canceled or that my refund is being processed.
