  1. Go at your own pace and don’t feel like you have to do everything on the ship… otherwise it turns into work… go with what you want to do and if that’s nothing then do nothing.  I tried to do everything on my first cruise and boy was that a mistake for me.  Now I just browse through the planner and whatever pops into my head the next day that’s what’s on the agenda… well after food and drinks!  Enjoy yourself on the cruise.  Loving all the pictures and reviews!!!

I'll be bringing my usual Louis Vuitton bag on shore with me... Contents: a little more than four thousand pesos, three hundred American dollars, my hat (so my head doesn't get sunburn), handi wipes, my hand drawn map, rebound patches and a handful of Flyby and DHM pills, a pen, and an assortment of masks, which I don't know if I'll need...

I love the bag… it’s the same Louis Vitton bag except it says Walmart on it lol.

  3. NCL charges the fee for land based and also their own casino at sea offers.  Carnival offers the best offer through the casino directly (ocean players club) land based offers has restrictions on sailing date / destinations etc… if it is convenient to pick it up then I would, but if I have to alter schedules and incur extra expenses then it’s not worth it.

  4. FLL - Odyssey of the Sea 10/17 sailing… there were several cues set up outside with your check in time and you have wait in the cue depending on your boarding time.  The agents where checking the time like a hawk.  Once you get passed the outside check, (please keep all documents in hand including passport, test results, boarding pass, vaccine certificate as you are being shouted at while juggling your personal possessions) you will pass another checkpoint, then security, then a holding area and then another checkpoint then you are off to the ship.  It took about 45 minutes and the boarding time was noon to 12:30pm.  Your mileage might vary depending on if they updated the number of check points.  In Miami in November, it was a much smoother calmer experience and took about 15 minutes.

  5. I am glad you are okay.  I would use the at home rapid test just for your own piece of mind just so you know what to expect.  If you google articles on people testing positive while traveling, there are articles about people testing positive before their flight and stayed at a quarantine hotel and test again in 7 days and tested negative and allowed to fly back.  We can only speculate one here until you actually get tested to see the result yourself unfortunately.

    Here is an example

We are planning a couple of back to back cruises this winter. Previously we went from Celebrity (with no self service laundry) to Oceania, Silversea or Viking Ocean (all have self service laundry. You spend a day or so after boarding taking care of laundry - no problem. The same is true if you go to Celebrity from the others-do laundry before you leave the ship.

If you are going Celebrity to Celebrity (either same ship or different ships) is the only alternative to use the ship laundry service or severely overpack? Sounds like a simple solution but I haven't figured it out yet! 😁

    Thanks

I would go with overpack !  Worry about laundry after the cruise.  Why stress over laundry while you are enjoying your B2B
