I am on the APEX now and very few people wear masks or follow social distancing. My partner and I wear masks all the time. We use the stairs if the elevators are crowded.
My fully vaccinated father caught COVID and died last month. People need to understand how dangerous Delta is and stop taking risks. I hope Celebrity makes masks mandatory tomorrow.
If you feel this way then why would you choose to sail on a ship that doesn’t require masks? Most other cruise lines do, so if you are worried about it then it makes sense to choose a cruise line that would make you more comfortable instead of complaining about the one that appeals to a more risk-tolerant crowd.-

Then think of the other passengers who may not be in such good health or have some underlying condition. Being fully vaxxed and boosted may keep you off the ventilator but you can still pass it around. A mask protects you and others... its called a community...the more we all work together on this the quicker we get out of this. I for one have a B2B in February that I cant wait to get on mask required or not. I'll be at the martini bar... I'll use a straw under my mask if need be!
And there are plenty of other cruise lines where masks are mandatory. Most of them, actually. Can’t those of us with a better risk tolerance have one outlet where we can enjoy ourselves? Apparently not it seems.-

instead you could always pay that $7000 in medical bills... with no vacation!
Considering I’m 40, in good health, vaxxed, and boosted, I’d say there is a bigger chance of falling overboard and being eaten by sharks than of suffering serious problems from Covid.-

I sure hope not. We are booked on the Apex for New Years. I will cancel for sure if they pull this crap. There is no earthly way I would ever spend $7,000+ to wear a mask on vacation.

I am booked on the Sun in May of 22 and have final payment due in early January. I'm watching to see what they do with masks, since that's my main concern. We are vaxxed and boosted and have no health concerns, but we will not spend money for a cruise (or any other vacation for that matter) and be stuck walking around the ship with a mask on. I'm hoping they extend the 60 day payment window again, and I have a feeling they will. I just don't know if it will be in time for us.

My only concern is that Celebrity will start mandating masks on board. I have chosen them and NCL exclusively because of the mask-free policies, and the only thing keeping me from planning additional cruises next year is the fear that they might feel pressure to change course.

What an enlightened and thought provoking response. Shouldn’t you be posting on the Carnival forum?
