These are a limited offering of coupon books available for your travel agent to "gift" you on your booking. They used to have decent coupons in them. Unfortunately the 2022 ones are more "buy something and we'll throw you a bone" type. In prior years, there was a buy one get one free coupon for embarkation day only at the specialty restaurants. This year's coupon is "goto specialty restaurant on embarkation day only and get a free bottle of todays wine of the day".
I know all this because we booked a cruise for Jan 2022 and our TA gifted us the coupon book, and Princess emailed it to us so I read the whole book (it was pretty short!). Then we cancelled the cruise due to covid.
If you don't have the coupon book marked on your cruise booking, you can't use the coupons.
This is a completely different set of coupons than what used to be in every stateroom on embarkation day, back quite a few years ago.
Thank you for this additional information.

No discounts I'm aware of, but if you have the coupon book, you can present coupon for free bottle of wine on first night.
How do you get a coupon book?

Are there any discounts for booking specialty dining on the first night, or can you get a free bottle of wine by eating the first night in specialty dining venue ? Thanks in advance.

If you follow the long instructions above you will get off the ship about 10 and walked back up. If you want to leave and walk around leave when they start debarkng and take your in transit card and sail and sign from the first trip. These exact instructions as above by the poster and the ones as I described will be delivered to your room.
thank you

We are on the Vista right now, finishing up the second week of our B2B
Here is what happened during the most recent Vista B2B process:
*On Thursday, we received written instructions in our room about the process, including the instructions to report to the Limelight Lounge on Friday morning for a free required Covid test administered by the ship’s medical personnel.
*The testing was efficient; we were told to return to our staterooms for 30 minutes. If we didn’t receive a phone call from them during that time, it meant that we had tested negative and were free to move around the ship.
*the instructions said that people leaving the ship for a few hours in Galveston on Saturday needed to stop by guest services on Saturday morning to get a paper copy of their negative covid test. We were able to do this on Friday night after dinner; try to do this, it made the next morning easier.
* On Saturday (/Debarkation/Embarkation day) we were instructed to meet in one of the dining rooms with our passports and sign and sail cards, and transit cards. The written instructions were a bit confusing; I had to go to guest services to verify that “Identity Document” was, in our case, a passport.
*We waited there quite a while, take something to read.
*while we were waiting, someone from the ship came around to take our photo again for the second cruise and then they handed us new sign and sail cards.
*After that, we were all taken off the ship and we walked down to the baggage claim area and showed our passports to immigration officers; they did not use the automatic face ID that is used during regular debarkation.
*After that, we returned to the ship and there was champagne or Mimosas offered at the lobby bar.
After showing his passport, my husband chose to leave the ship to get something from our car. Carnival gave him a list of what he needed to board again. Check these carefully yourself, of course, I seem to recall that it was his transit card, passport, vaccination card, and negative Covid test, and boarding pass for the second cruise.
*My husband said it took him about 30 minutes to board but that it was crowded with long lines.
I have to say, after being in and out of Galveston over the years, there is no shopping within walking distance of the Pier that is worth this hassle! You will have plenty of opportunities in port and on board to buy beach wear, tee shirts, coffee mugs, etc., and this is what you will find in Galveston!
Thank you for this information it was exactly what I needed to know!

We're going on a back-to-back cruise with Carnival Vista and want to get off the ship in Galveston to shop before our second cruise ....will we need to get back in line and do our check-in process again? Or can we pass the line and go straight back onto the ship instead of going to the check in desk? What about showing a covid test results for the 2nd cruise...since CCL will give it to us on the ship. Will CCL give us a written test results to show when we get back on the ship?
I'm not sure how this all works with Carnival/covid...so if somebody can explain it to me, it would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance.

We received the complimentary mimosas at the lobby bar. You can drink as many as you like. Nothing left in cabin. Freedom in December.
Is a coupon sent to you to get a free drink left in your cabin when you do a back-to-back or what?

Originally the Vista Gaming lounge had Mah Jongg tables/sections for ‘rent’. This turned out to not work, as reports of passengers not spending the $ to rent these spaces and just took up playing at the Marketplace or other ‘free’ venues.
The area has since been remodeled with the tables gone, so the lounge is used like on most other Princess ships with a ‘lounge’ on deck6 aft.
Some Majestic sailings have reported the use of the Hollywood Conservatory for Platinum/Elite/Suite happy hour and I have been on a sailing where they used the ‘Vista Gaming Lounge’.
Thanks for the info.

Hi Mona! Yes, they do. That’s where the party band played on our Alaska cruises. They also have the Platinum and Elite Captains Circle parties in there.
Hope you are well!

I know this would be a pain but I had to do this the first time, write down the link on paper. Retype it in your browser putting your booking number in where ABC123 is. Then hit enter.
WOW!!! This is exactly what I needed! Thanks soooooooooo much!

There is a loophole to get to it now though. Do a search through the Carnival forum on how to access it now. It is pretty easy.
I did a search---not what I need to know. Could you please explain how to do it in a post here? Thanks !

Carnival does not sail from San Pedro, they sail from Long Beach. Go to San Pedro and you will miss your ship.

You're probably will still need to wear them in the casino and Main theater.
