  1. No, this isn't huge damage and I strongly believe that they wouldn't scrap any ship that has this, doing that would be a bad idea and huge loss. Sunshine is all upgraded and Elation will be in the fleet through at least 2026 theoretically Freedom was built in 2007
  2. The theory is that Costa Magica which is going to join the Carnival fleet later this year would do Miracle's cruises while Miracle goes to Australia. On the same day that they announced Miracle's dry dock, a message went up on the Carnival Australia website that a new ship will be named for Brisbane soon. It would make sense for Miracle to take what was originally Spirit's place (before it went to US) because they are in the same class so it would be easy to transfer to bookings over. Miracle had its last dry dock in 2020 right before the pandemic, so it could have been due in 2023 but I guess it needs one earlier. It is also possible that Miracle could go to Australia, then another Carnival ship takes its place, and then Magica takes that ships place.
  3. I think that that is going to create another ship for Alaska. If Miracle's San Francisco cruises (could be Magica but thats for another board) still go on then it would go to Alaska. Freedom is doing Port Canaveral instead of the Miami/Seattle split so they need another ship there. I think Sunshine could replace a ship with the pool cover to do the miami seattle
  4. Thats why I hope there isn't any Royal Caribbean ships in Freeport when Freedom goes there
  5. It was only the right wing of the funnel, not half the ship that burned down I think Royal Caribbean was thinking about sending a Oasis class ship to Australia maybe....
  6. They should and maybe will try to hold on to those as long as they can. Spirit class is very popular and useful for the height restricted ports I still don't think Elation + Paradise will go within the next few years
  7. Well, maybe you should see if you can get on Liberty tomorrow from Port Canaveral. It is a 3 day that goes to Bimini. Your cruise is shortened a day 😞
  8. discomfort wasn't the right word but I was just thinking about the people who complain about everything
  9. Usually Mardi Gras and Freedom (and Elation when it did those cruises) head back to Port Canaveral together
  10. I guess so but they wouldn't want to discomfort the Mardi Gras guests
  11. Saturday, same as Freedom. Mardi Gras + Freedom had Amber Cove, Grand Turk, usually sea days next to each other and Port Canaveral on the same days.
  12. Yes, I think for each class it should be the exact same. I have a picture of Sunshine and Freedom's funnels next to each other so I'll try to find it.
  13. There is a problem with that. Mardi Gras, like every other ship, was designed for a certain number of people. You can't crowd two ships worth of people on to Mardi Gras.
  14. Luckily the next time both terminals are needed at Grand Turk is June 8th, so it can hang out there but needs to leave to get repaired soon
  15. I think it would be too small and they would also want to have a new funnel for a new ship, not a almost 30 year old one
  16. No, it can't be the end of the two Fantasy class ships. I don't think they will get rid of a ship, Sunshine has a lot of places to go. Elation also has a dry dock in 2023 so that keeps it in the fleet more. Sunshine is too tall to replace Elation in Jacksonville or Paradise in Tampa.
  17. Miracle just stopped moving? Did they say anything about it? (Captain)
  18. I was surprised when I saw it. Its interesting. Since Freedom or any other ship isn't doing the Miami/Seattle split, I think it could do Alaska. Being near these ports, I would like Sunshine to do year round from Norfolk or New York City.
  19. Nothing really. Just a new place to hang out for Magica
