Maris and Ken - So glad I found this thread and am looking forward to reading the rest of your trip review and looking at your amazing photos. It was a such a great cruise and we feel so blessed to have gotten to cruise before all the craziness started. Loved meeting you guys and spending time together. Following and loving your posts.

So good to know. Thank you for that information.

Our last cruise was on the Harmony and the fridge worked out great. They did not fill it with all the mini bar items so it was empty and it was cold. Loved having my own things in the fridge and hope that all the ships do away with the mini bars in the room.

The loyalty ambassador updated our status and guest relations issued a 30% discount on the drink package we purchased yesterday. Thanks for the feedback, it was so helpful to know how to handle this.

We are staying onboard the harmony of the seas and since it was all last minute there was no precruise planning. They've never heard of an onboard discount for drink packages. Does this exist or not - we're diamond plus? Thanks for the help.

We just spent two weeks on St. Martin. The first time we went to Friar's Bay was the day after a big rain and we turned around and left, the pond and neighborhood water drained into the beach and it wasn't appealing. The next week we tried it again and had a lovely day at Friars and were able to snorkel from the shore. However, I would not recommend it for a cruise ship stop for the reasons everybody keeps giving you, remote, no taxis, and IMO just not really worth it. Take a look at Captain Frenchy's on Grand Case beach. They have free chairs, delicious food and we were there on a cruise ship day and it was still quiet. Have you checked the cruise ship schedule, are you the only ship in port?

We just got off of the Equinox on Monday morning and we found the celebrity club hostess to be harsh in her delivery of the rules. We had the drink package so really had no reason to go to the Elite happy hour except to mingle and the view. On the last night dh had packed his long pants and he unknowingly showed up at the venue with nice walking shorts and was turned away. It was the way we were accosted at the door and her rudeness that was so very offensive, not the rule itself.
Also, on other ships we have attended the helipad event in sandals but on the Equinox they were allowing only closed toe shoes. We missed two helipad events because it was a Caribbean cruise and I did not travel with closed toe shoes. I could have borrowed one pair of my husbands Keens and attended but would have looked like an idiot so didn't bother.

Wonderful review that will be helpful to a lot of cruisers and we enjoyed sharing a table with you at Orange Fever!

I would love to see more posts with classic package drinks. Our first time with a drink package and I had no idea mojito and long island iced tea would be classic. I'm thinking I won't need to upgrade to premium after all.

Thanks for posting all of the photos - which are great by the way!

We've had success getting our room early in San Juan after departing the ship. Also, they will store your luggage and you can use the pool and facilities until your room is ready.

Never had a need for a door organizer - had ample storage space. BUT I did get the magnetic hooks and they are great. All the walls are metal so they will stick anywhere. Great for hanging up damp bathing suits, hats, etc.

In Dominica, we did the champagne reef snorkel excursion through the cruise ship. A catamaran picked us up at the dock and took us to two different spots to snorkel.

No need to bring your own. Ask your room steward and they will provide you with a gallon.

I was checking in with Julia about my crystal block and should have offered to take this picture for you, even though yours looks great. Didn't know you were John and Laura. We had a great cruise and I won the casino gift at the meet and mingle.

We were at the Boatyard in February 2016 and didn't notice Pirate's Cove. It looks like it would be next door to the Boatyard. We will definitely look for it in 2017 - couldn't find it on trip advisor either.

I am seeing the same as you BecciBoo. Prices are higher next year. We have a couple of things booked but while prices are on the rise we're going to take a land based vacation that we've been wanting to do for some time.
Also our August cruise has had big price drops on balcony cabins since final payment so last minute might also be the way to book.

Our muster station was the aqua theater on the boardwalk.

We have cruised on the Allure twice now. The first time we were on deck 11 and were happy with that. This time we were on deck 7 port side very close to the aft elevators and much preferred that location. It was such an easy trek down one flight for coffee and doughnut on the boardwalk in the morning and up one flight for central park. Everything was convenient.
We made note to always use the port side elevators or stairs when heading to our cabin and I never had an issue. My husband made the mistake only once and had to go down, over, and up to get to our cabin.

Thank you for this post. Looking forward to your picture review.

I always contact special needs and request a medical refrigerator and 9 times out of 10 it's not there when we get to our cabin. Our last cruise it was actually in the room and I was thrilled that they finally followed through until I later realized it was broken.
I would plan on bringing my medication on board in a small insulated pack with enough ice to last several hours.

30 Plus cruises, and zero upgrades.
Ditto that. Nothing here, ever, nada. Even when we book guarantees we are given the lowest level in that category.

I have a copy of the picture but don't know how to put it on here.
