  1. Fortunately most of us seem to share the same sentiment about Azamara, we find them luxurious enough for our travels. Unfortunately I had really hoped to hear the answer from those that cruised Azamara at a great QPR and still found the experience fell below expectations. That is what had left me perplexed.

  2. Luxury comes at different price points, but can still be luxury within its category. I agree that luxury goes beyond the size of the cabin or the furnishings.

Cadillac markets itself as a luxury vehicle, as does Mercedes, and Maserati....are they misleading the public or are they just luxury at different costs?

  3. I am often confused by posts that speak about Azamara as a luxury line and then being let down. I can understand when someone has saved their money very carefully over a long period to take what they hope will be an amazing holiday of a lifetime that disappointments can arise. In this case expectations may be set way too high, but what I can't understand is someone who admits to getting a great deal on Azamara (often $150 per person per night or less) and still had their expectations set so high that now all they want to do is keep putting Azamara down for not being luxurious enough. It makes me wonder what exactly was expected at that more than fair price/quality ratio. I have sailed on two Azamara cruises and I have two more booked this summer. I enjoy my fellow guests, the food, the drink, and the friendly crew. I also appreciate that the officers are readily available and easy to approach. Any concerns I have had on board have always been acted on immediately, and that to me is what sets Azamara apart.

  4. hi everyone. i am thinking about participating in this promotion with the free excursions and i am hoping someone here might have the answer for me. i will call azamara tomorrow to ask just to make sure since they are closed today, but thought i'd ask her just in case.

in the terms and conditions, it says "The available free Land Discoveries (LD) must be selected online at AzamaraClubCruises.com/Special-Offers/Onshore-OnUs at least 90 days prior to departure. "

under the list of cruises, i am looking at the april 22 cruise (which is listed as one of the qualifying cruises for this promotion), but it is less than 90 days before departure. so based on the terms and conditions nothing that the land discoveries has to be made at least 90 days prior to departure, will i still be able to take advantage of the free excursions since it is less than 90 days?

thanks in advance! i hope someone here can help me.

I'm curious about this too, did you get a definitive answer from Azamara?

  5. Don't pick JS 6694 on the Voyager of the Seas, we hated it. The cabin is a little longer than the side cabins, but narrower so the walk in closet is not really a walk in closet, it is much smaller, and the whole room seems smaller because the width is what makes the JS's feel spacious. The cabin is always dark and dreary as the sunlight hardly ever reaches it or the balcony. And worst of all, you can hardly see the water. You are getting a bigger balcony with two lounge chairs, but without the sun or a view, they are totally useless. Stay away!
