Carnival Elation 09/02/19 (not departing 9/05) – this cruise is cancelled. We were unable to secure a port of call and cannot operate a cruise to nowhere. A full refund of the cruise fare and any pre-purchased items will be automatically processed. I think this sharp of a turn was a bit unexpected. Good news for Fort Lauderdale and Miami departures, but not so good for Jacksonville or Charleston.

We did an aft balcony on Liberty in July and it was just too hot on the balcony. Also had significant soot issues. I understand why some like them, but I won't ever book one again.

Have they stopped putting the FTTF logo on Platinum bag tags?
We didn't cruise last year so i am out of the loop, just printed docs for november and it has Priority but no FTTF logo.

A search does not reveal any specific posts for cabin 8201 on Magic (or sisters Dream and Breeze). This is the first forward Balcony next to the Bridge.
Does anyone have any experience with this cabin? I am not expecting much privacy, but interested to know how much of the view will be impacted, and general noise levels.

Verizon has a plan that allows your normal data/text/calls for a flat $5 charge for Mexico and Canada. It works in Cozumel :)

That’s what mine looked like too. What did the rest of your correspondence that had to do with being Platinum look like? Did the letters have your name on them or were they generic?
Our free brunch drink letters were personalized, and we received 2 pins and 2 Yeti-style glasses. Everything showed that we were both platinum, from our boarding passes to our S&S cards.
As mentioned before, our table mates at the party also had an identical single invitation with just their stateroom number also.

So where does that leave the gold status people? Seem unfair to me.....if this is true.
LOL as a chronic sceptic I love the attitude! Perhaps I should have put more information. DW and I are both platinum, and when the invitation was left in the cabin (on Tuesday I think, the party was Friday the 10th) we thought at first they had forgotten one. However, on closer inspection we realized neither of our names was on the invitation, it was simply addressed to our Stateroom number. At the party, our table mates also only received one invitation for their cabin, even though one of them is diamond and the other is platinum.
The bottom line is that it doesnt matter whether or not your cabin mates are blue, red, or gold...as long as at least one person in the cabin is platinum, they are all invited.
This was on the Conquest last week. It seems doubtful that it would be an isolated case, although that is always a possibility. I think DW took a picture, if I can find it I will post it here.

From the Conquest Nov 5th 2017 sailing: The platinum/diamond invitations are no longer per person. The invitation is addressed to the cabin number, and everyone in the cabin is invited regardless of individual status.
I didnt see this mentioned anywhere else, have any recent platinum/diamond cruisers seen this on any other ships?

I am impressed that Carnival is giving 50% discount off the next cruise, + $100 refund per person. That sounds more than generous to me.
