Flights are non-refundable

My partner and I are wanting to disembark the ship a day early in Naples instead of Rome. We did not think it would be a problem so we booked flights and now we are being told that early disembarkation is no longer allowed. Is there any way around this? If we try to leave will we be fined? Do we say there was a family emergency? Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thank you!
