  1. There sure is! I was just there a couple weeks ago. Bought a few nutcrackers.
  2. Disembarked today in Budapest from Tauck MS Treasures, and I’m extremely happy to report we made the entire journey from Amsterdam with zero disruption due to water levels. The ship was only about 60% to capacity — I assume the confluence of Covid, the Ukraine events, and water levels caused many to reschedule (understandably). Tauck, as usual, knocked it out of the park. Not a hint of any lowering of their service standards. The crew said some delicate maneuvering was required a couple times on the journey, so kudos to our captain. Fantastic experience!
  3. MS Treasures left Vienna this morning and just arrived in Bratislava.
  4. We’re ok thus far. Currently sailing through the Wachau Valley in Austria on our way to Vienna. Zero disruption; we’ve been able to sail the entire itinerary to date. Tauck MS Treasures. Plan to disembark on Sunday in Budapest.
  5. Currently en route from Regensburg to Passau on Tauck MS Treasures. Everyone on board very optimistic.
  6. Our ship is in Bamberg today, Nurnburg and the Main-Danube canal tomorrow. Really hopeful this rain helps us navigate the entire itinerary to Budapest without disruption.
  7. Yes, thats us in Rudesheim right now. What a town! Leaving in about an hour.
  8. Tauck never misses. It’s all been great. The Floriade excursion (horticultural exhibition outside Amsterdam) was a bit too long, but we had to leave time to meet the ship in Nijmegen. Great good, great staff…typical nice extra touches from Tauck.
  9. I’m currently on Tauck MS Treasures traveling from Amsterdam to Budapest. As I type, we are enjoying a morning sailing through the Rhine Gorge in awe of all the towns & castles. All good so far. We divert off the Rhine and onto the Main tomorrow so I won’t be able to speak beyond that, but zero disruptions thus far.
  10. I’m on Tauck starting this coming Sunday. I will be THRILLED if the passenger count is on the small side. Sailed with them a few years ago (Mediterranean) with approx 40 passengers and it was great!
  11. I’m traveling with Tauck from Amsterdam to Budapest leaving Amsterdam on Sunday September 4th. Received a letter from Tauck today that warned of low water levels on the Danube only. No mention whatsoever of the Rhine. Found that interesting.
  12. I’m traveling with Tauck in a couple weeks; this is great news to hear! Thank you.
  13. Thank you! This will be my second journey with Tauck, and they most certainly did not disappoint the first time around. I do share your hope that the staffing shortages do not impact Tauck’s reputation for service. I’ll do my best to share my experience during and/or after the trip.
  14. Hi All — great forum with wonderful information! General question regarding navigating low water levels: how much difference will being on a 110m ship versus a 135m ship make? I’m scheduled for an Amsterdam-to-Budapest itinerary leaving Amsterdam on September 4th, arriving in Budapest on September 17th. Obviously we’ll be on the Rhine, Main & Danube. We’re scheduled to be on Tauck’s ms Treasures, which is 110m. Curious if this should give me any small glimmer of hope. Thanks!
