Since the upgrade to Starlink last year, the actual speed (as reported on a speed test) didn’t go up much, but the latency dropped dramatically since it’s closer satellites. And that drop in latency is what makes it faster to load things on your device.

I’ve definitely seen prices fluctuate wildly on some sailings. I am one who tends to book right away for what I know I’ll want, but check back 2-3 times a week on the “sale” cycles - my last sailing in November I saw the beverage package drop by $10+ /day and rebooked. And it’s not just for Royal, I have seen the price drop twice for my hotel tomorrow night before our May 1 sailing and rebooked it each time!

There are definitely set time dining options @superduper123, where you can have the same staff each night. For this ship it's 5:30 or 8:00pm, I'm in the 8pm sitting. All options should still be available, I just tried to make a "mock booking" on the RC site and both times and My Time showed available to choose. You should be able to choose a sitting by contacting your TA or Royal as discussed above.
