  1. For tours in Gibraltar, there are a few options. For The Top of The Rock under your own steam, it is quite a long walk up! or you can get the public bus to Willis which will cut out most of the walking but not all as it is all spread out across the top of the rock. The cable car is the most popular and the view going up is spectacular on a clear day! Or there are taxi tours. If you do not fancy the top of the rock there is plenty more to do, like Dolphin Trips at Ocean Village Marina, The Spirit of The Rock Gin Experience for the adults in your party, Historic walking tours and The Gibraltar Museum, sit and relax at either of the marinas or check out the beaches or check out the views across to Africa and Spain from Europa point. (Get a bust to Europa Point it is a long walk) I have done most of it and the most interesting were the World War Two tunnels and The Gibraltar Gin Experience! Have a great trip to Gibraltar.
  2. Hello I visited about 10 years ago, we decided to do DIY to Princes’ Island. It was a great day and cost very little on the ferry! Our ship was staying overnight though so we had no time constraint's. From what I remember the que for the ferry on return was huge and took a while so if you do it alone leave plenty of time to return to the ship. Safety we felt very safe here, no problems whatsoever. I am the same as you and much prefer doing things at my own pace. Enjoy
  3. Hi Cruisenewbieuk We went last year and was in much the same position as you and knew we wanted to something really different this time. we had a nice lunch at Ocean Village Marina then headed to the Gibraltar Museum in the town center it's quite small but very interesting. We finished off the day with the Gibraltar Gin Experience, it's a small craft gin factory. It's up a quaint little street just of the main high street. We learnt lot of information on Gibraltar the history of gin and got to try 6 different gins and a cocktail at the end. It was a great afternoon we pre booked via trip advisor for those that are more energetic there is also a walking tour that ends with the Gin tasting, but we just went for just the tour! Hope you have a great time :-)
