Hey! My sister and I are cruising out of Miami in two weeks and I have totally procrastinated getting our post-cruise hotel. We really want to spend some time at the beach and aren't sure what else to see and do in Miami. Our flight the next day is pretty early (6am). Where do we want to stay if we mostly want to go to the beach but wouldn't mind exploring too? Do we want a Miami beach area? Is Downtown better? Anything that is a must-see?

Hey all! My fiancé and I are considering an Alaskan cruise in September. Right now we are looking at one on Ovation of the Sea with RC (so a pretty big ship). We want a balcony room and I am way overthinking room placement. We want a room with a great view since that's the point of going to Alaska. My fiancé is prone to motion sickness. We just got off our first cruise (to Cabo) and we had very smooth seas until the last day when a storm blew in. He did ok for the calm days, but the last day, he needed medication. So my question, is there a huge difference in motion between like deck 8 and deck 13? I have heard mid ship is least rocky and lower decks, but I wasn't sure in reality how much it really is different.

I saw that today too! I booked it and the price went back up this evening. I think we got lucky!

Thanks for the review! I'll be on Navigator in three weeks for 5 nights to Cabo with my family. We are all first time cruisers and super excited! Were the pools heated? My kids are basically fish, so I'm hoping it won't be too cold. 🙂

My family and I will be going on our first cruise in March out of LA on Navigator of the Sea. Our flight out of LAX isn't until 5:15 that evening. I've been looking into what to do with our luggage so we can do something between disembarkation and arrival at the airport. Has anyone used Baggage Airline Guest Services, Inc to check in their bags for their flight at the cruise terminal? The airport website gave this option and I wasn't sure if that was legit or no longer existed or if I need to book in advance or what. Also, if you have any fun kid (ages 7 and 3) activity suggestions in LA, I'd love to hear it!
