  1. @Lustate if your sailing is more than 120 days out, the deposit would be converted to  future voyage credit. It might be time for you to get a new Agent.

    from the VV site

    https://www.virginvoyages.com/addl-terms-and-conditions

    - You have the most flexibility outside of 120 days prior to your departure date. If you're booking at this time, you have a 7-day grace period to request a full refund on your deposit and any other payments made. Refunds will be issued to your original form of payment.

    - After the grace period (but still before the 120-day mark), you can receive a full refund on any payments, not including your deposit. For your deposit, you can request a Future Voyage Credit at this time.

  2. The Virgin FAQ says we are not allowed to bring food on board without special clearance. What if I want to bring some candies/crystallized ginger for sea sickness? Does anyone here have experience with this? Does it have to be a brand new sealed bag? I’m going on a few cruises and would prefer not to buy a new bag each time.

You might find it listed in your booking confirmation email.  That's where I saw mine first.  It eventually made it to my app as seen above.  My bonus $200 loot came from booking during the Red Hot something special last Nov and Dec.

Ah ok! Thanks. mine was a different promo. I just called sailor services and it isn’t registering so I ended up cancelling and will just book with a TA for the $50 loot.

  4. 5 night cruise, inside cabin in April.

I only had options to bid on anywhere from obstructed balcony to deluxe balcony.
There was no option for mini suite, though the minimum bids were already high for obstructed balcony.

Minimum bid was $125x2 for obstructed balcony and $150x2 for deluxe obstructed balcony (Canadian dollars). I bid $5 above the minimum but don’t expect to get an upgrade anyway because the cruise looks mostly sold out.
