  1. We just got off the Quest which had an overnight and disembarkation at Chioggia. 1. We decided to not do an excursion into Venice as we were staying 2 days there after the cruise. In retrospect it was definitely the right thing to do for us. If you weren't staying afterwards you probably would do an excursion if you wanted to see Venice. Didn't make sense for us to spend 2.5 - 4 hours round trip on a bus or boat when we were heading into Venice the next day anyways. 2. We toured around Chioggia and to call it "Little Venice" is generous. A nice little town with mostly locals but it only takes 90-120 minutes to tour the town. There were some local boat tours you could do and easily buy tickets for in the town but we did not partake. Absolutely nothing negative about Chioggia other than don't expect to do/see much. 3. We took the Azamara organized shuttle service into Venice post-cruise. If this is your plan sign up right away as it did sell out and there was a considerable waiting list, enough for another bus but they were unable to procure another one. It's about an hour drive into Venice and it drops you off at bus area - Tronchetto. We took the People Mover to Piazzale Roma as our hotel was near there. I believe you can take a water taxi or the Vaporetto water bus from Tronchetto, you definitely can from Piazzale Roma. It all seems a bit confusing at first but it wasn't too bad to figure things out and all the tourist facing staff speak perfect English.
  2. We were in a similar situation, my wife prefers gin and I prefer vodka. Since we could only get one bottle we mutually compromised and got gin.
  3. Just got off Quest in a CC suite. We were just given the choice of a single spirit and got a 1l bottle (gin in our case). Butler kept us well stocked with plenty of mix, water, ice and limes. Very much enjoyed our first cruise with Azamara.
  4. How long is the walk from the ship into Chioggia? Is the 1.5 mile walk just to the specific stop for the Venice bus or is that the walk into the "interesting" part of Chioggia? Any must-sees in Chioggia or is it just a laid-back day walking around and enjoying the atmosphere? Thanks.
