  1. Thank you. I think I'm getting it. Anything that is included in the AI package we have is covered including drinks etc. If we go outside our AI then gratuity is added on. Should be easy enough to understand.
  2. That's what I suspected, but I wanted to be sure. Thanks! Is there a list somewhere on X's website that tells what's in and what's out?
  3. I say this every time, but just to be clear this will be my wife and my first cruise ever coming up in October. I had a question about the gratuities. The booking we did was the "all inclusive" which I know isn't exactly ALL inclusive. No problem. But when we have the gratuities package included, are there any additional gratuities added? For instance, if room service is $9.95 + 20% gratuity, is that gratuity included in our package or is it in addition? I'm not really a drinker, but being a bit left brained, I was wondering if I had a drink that was premium I read that we pay the difference plus gratuity. So does a $2 upcharge become $2.40? Or is that gratuity not added because we paid them up front? Just want to make sure I understand which are part of the pre-paid and if there are any that aren't. TIA.
  4. Thanks all!! I was hoping that was the case, but wanted to be sure. We've already picked the places we want to do excursions and the places we just want to hope off the ship for a little bit. Appreciate the feedback!
  5. I've been watching a few videos of the areas we will be stopping on our cruise in October. (First cruise) One of the videos about Mykonos said that they were not allowed to leave the ship unless they booked an excursion with Celebrity. Admittedly, this was a year old and may have been a COVID thing. Is that really the case? Or was that a COVID thing that's gone now? We don't really have any interest in the ships excursions, but we do want to get off the boat to explore a little. TIA.
  6. Sorry, I misunderstood (misread) your OP. The only thing I could find was taxi from the port to the train station.
  7. Thanks All! Much appreciated. Our hotel is ~200yds from the Piazzale Roma Bus stop. I chose it specifically so we could easily walk to the bus stop both when we arrive and when we leave. The earlier we can get to Venice, the better, so if we get on a bus at 8:30am and make it there by 11-12 ish, we should have lots of time. I was worried we wouldn't be getting there until 2 or 3p.
  8. I haven't done it, but I know there is no train to Marco Polo Airport. You either have to go taxi or bus. The train goes from Santa Lucia to Mestre, but doesn't go to the airport. I was told to contact the cruise line to ask about a bus transfer to the airport.
  9. I'm admittedly a cruising newbie. Planning our first cruise for October. We're doing a round trip Ravenna to Ravenna. On the last day it says we dock at Ravenna at 5am. I know there is an amount of time it takes to get everything in order before we can actually leave. I'm planning to get a transfer from Celebrity to Venice by bus. My question is, what's a typical time that we would be in Venice? It takes two hours to drive from Ravenna to Venice, so could we expect to be in Venice by noon? Or will it be later? Our flight is the next day, so I'm not trying to get to a specific time. I just want to know how much time we'll have in Venice on the day of debarkation. We have a hotel in Venice already and we're hoping to have enough time to see 3 or 4 sights we have planned. TIA.
