Again Apple requires iOS app connections to be https. What Apt Transport Security does is enforce that the connection is https.

Mobile apps are more secure than websites. Apple iOS apps and Google Android app use https by default. An app would have to be granted an exception to be approved in their mobile app stores. Very rare and not going to happen for banking apps.

All banking apps use https.

I think it is too dangerous too and certainly would not do it again. Lesson learned the hard way. On a map it did not look bad. I also did not have Cruise Critic then to ask if it was advisable.
