Cool Cruiser (2/15)

  1. I didn’t get any response to my emails after the original one. Im now back home and haven’t even had the future voyage $200. Have to say it was a fantastic cruise and I didn’t have to spend a penny on board due to sailor loot and drinks package.
  2. You’re lucky, my emails seem to have been completely ignored.
  3. The dates I was given for qualifying for the offer was bookings between 26Sept and 31Dec 2023.

    Sales

Most cruises I’ve been on tend to have sales near the end of the cruise. i see Virgin don’t have a large shopping area but is it worth waiting till later on?
  5. The image on my passport is so bad even when I tried to re sent it it still kept on getting rejected. So I had no option but to cut out a picture from an old passport, place it on my current passport and photograph that one. I just hope it doesn’t complicate matters on boarding. They accepted it months ago but now it was a problem? Like I said I was literally walking out the door and luckily checked my emails just before I left. I even had to reboot the broadband in the house to resend the picture.
  6. That was exactly the point I made in my email to Virgin. Going by the first reply to my post this isn’t the first time they have been challenged about this. Mind you, in my experiences with Virgin some of their admin leaves a lot to be desired. For example I filled in my sailor details months ago on the app. I got an email this morning literally as I was getting ready to walk out the door to catch my flight that the photo on my passport wasn’t clear enough. They’ve had flipping months to find this out but they leave it till 3 days before my cruise. Not happy.
  7. Too funny. So it’s not just me then 🤣
  8. Anyone received an email from Virgin about a survey with a promise of $200 onboard credit to be used on your ‘next voyage’ ? ( note the exact wording) Well I filled it in and sent an email later asking if it would be here in time for my ‘next voyage’ which is on the 8th. I received an email back saying it is only for future voyages booked between certain dates. So I replied saying it didn’t say that anywhere and I considered my ‘next voyage’ to be the one I hadn’t sailed on. Maybe I’m stirring it a bit and if I don’t get anything then I’m not really too bothered but at the least I’ll give the marketing team something to think about next time 😆
  9. I’ve got £500 FVC that expires 3 days before my cruise next week that I won’t be able to use. Unfortunate but nothing I can do about it.
  10. My wife and I have a reservation for Gunbae when we cruise next week. However neither of us drink and I’ve heard that drinking is a large part of the experience. Are we going to look and feel out of place here? Edit I think I saw the answer just down the page. Serves me right for not looking
  11. I was booked on a cruise last year and was unable to book quite a few preferred times and days. This time I messaged sailor services and they said the times stated for bookings were of course USA time and that translated to 5am UK time. So I got up at that time and got everything I wanted.
  12. Slightly unusual circumstances here but I’ve got a fully paid up cruise booked for October on a cheapo inside cabin on the Resilient Lady. But I still have £525 left on FVC which expires just before that cruise. Im hoping that I can use this to bid for an upgrade (obviously I’ll need to contact sailor services ) I’ve never tried to bid before on any holiday so I’m starting from a low bar. The difference between my cabin and a terrace is about £900. Had anyone bid for upgrades and have you any idea if my FVC would be enough? Like I said, a very vague question but hopefully someone has some experience of bidding.
