Cool Cruiser (2/15)

  1. Hello, heading to Bermuda next week on the NCL Prima. I have read that the "cell network" used in Bermuda is compatible with U.S. based cell phone service providers. I am familiar with a "roaming" fee when using my cell phone for calls, but what about using it for 5G or LTE (or possibly lower standard) internet?
  2. So, we (4 people total) are visiting Bermuda next week on the Prima. We have been to Bermuda before and took the local minibus to get to Horseshoe Bay beach. I think I paid $15/each roundtrip, but gave $5 tip each.. so about $80 total. The NCL Excursion shuttle is $50/pp, but we have two $50 credits... so it would be $100 total for the 4 of us. Obviously, I can save a few bucks taking the local minibus, but is there any advantage to the NCL excursion shuttle?
  3. Electronically.. or do we have to go to Guest Services?
  4. Hi All, I need to cancel one of my dining reservations, but can't seem to find functionality on the website to do so. Do I need to call to cancel? Thanks!
  5. Wow, that's great news. My daughter was IN TEARS that she couldn't text her BF for a whole week! 😆
  6. Apple = The Devil? I've certainly never heard that before... but I'm sure there's a forum for that! 🙂
  7. Hi All, My family (4 of us total) all have iPhones and will be on the Prima in less than 2 weeks. We only have 150 mins of "free" wifi time with our "Free at Sea" package. Does texting each other while we are on the ship require us to use those minutes? We'd obviously like to be in touch without having to pay for it, if possible, while we are doing things separately. Thanks!
  8. My family LOVES sushi... but the sushi menu at Food Republic looks better than Nama. My kids and wife are exclusively maki roll eaters... and Nama didn't have many options (at least, not ones they would be drawn to).
  9. Hi JGmf, too funny! Yes, we are on the Prima for the 4/23 embarkation. I feel like NCL "owes us" for that change to itinerary last Sept. 🙂 Unfortunately, it's not gonna be as warm in Bermuda as I hoped for.... upper 60s is the latest forecast.
  10. Hi all, so we booked an upcoming cruise when we were on an NCL cruise last Sept. I booked 2 rooms on the Prima for the 4/23 departure to Bermuda and the Nextcruise person told me that it that the cost would be initially be $3500 per room, but said that after a week when the transaction was "processed", it would end up being $3200 per room due to the Nextcruise discount (and I'm not talking about the vouchers we received). Well, as I speculated when I heard this... it never happened. I can certainly call NCL and inquire about this, but I'm sure they are going to say "well, what proof do you have"? Any suggestions on how to handle. (I know, I should have gotten it in writing!)
  11. Hi All, thanks for all the great feedback. FYI - All 4 of us have the "free at sea" plan.... so we each get 2 free specialty dining meals.
  12. Hi All, my family (Me, Wife, daughter = 14, son = 16) are on the Prima in a couple of weeks for 7 day cruise to Bermuda. This is my wife and I's "second attempt" to go to to Bermuda in the past year as out last cruise was diverted to New England and Canada due to hurricane. (Boo!) So, I booked 4 specialty dining reservations for this trip: Hasuki, Onda, Cagneys and Food Republic. I'm trying to figure out which 2 I should use my "free at sea" specialty dining meals, and which ones I should just pay out of pocket (or buy 2 more meals, if that's the best option). To provide more info, my wife and I are "good eaters".. and my son (who is 6'4" at age 16) can eat a truck if asked. My daughter, however, is more of a "dainty eater". While she will easily scarf down 3 or 4 avocado rolls...everything else is a "very small portion" and usually not main entrees (a bowl of mashed potatoes, mac & cheese, maybe a couple of meatballs or plain noodles). What do you suggest? Thanks!!!
