I don't think slots machines can do it you, but they will rate you at the tables.

Sent from my iPad using Forums

How can u say it’s better to play tBles than slots. Table games are notorious for giving terrible points vs slots

  2. We were just on the Allure. I had a cash account bought something and new I had $22 left available. We were star class and had dinner in Izumi with a couple. The next day I checked my account I owed $93. I was like huh?  Turned out they put the other couples meals on our account. I have no idea why but they did end up taking it off

We are sailing on the getaway and have a haven suite but have just learned that our friends will be on the ship at the same time. Will we be able to invite them into the haven restaurant and pool area or will we have to go the the non haven areas if we want to be with them

thank you for your help x

No not the haven pool area or Haven sundeck. That would not be fair to paying haven guests who pay a lot as you know for that.  As for haven restaurant I believe it’s a $25 pp price for dinner.

Curious, why you did not care for Giovannis?

Was looking at trying it in a couple weeks.  We usually just do Chops, have had quite a few good meals at Chops.

And yes, love Chops on Allure.

    Thanks

    Safe travels.

I just didn’t think it was anything special. I’m Italian and very very picky about Italian food so maybe that’s why.  Like Olive Garden I wouldn’t dare step foot in there lol. Not saying Giovanni’s is like Olive Garden. I will say the service was outstanding. I just wasn’t a fan of the food either were my friends

Howdy! My family and I are sailing the week of Thanksgiving 🙂 We have sailed on Oasis about 6/7 years ago...

What eats were your favorite outside of the dining room?

For MTD, around what time did you eat each night?

How was the crowd on the cruise? Young, old, family, or couples?

    Favorite drink??

We ate at Chops, Samba Grill, Sabor, Giovanni’s Table and Izumi. I loved them all except Giovanni’s

Sure, we found out that you can't really make a "reservation" until after 7:30 for MTD because the people that made them on-shore will be getting those (they also use the dining room for some traditional diners). So one night the Matire 'D (excuse spelling) took our name and gave us a card and just told us to come back in 1/2 hr and he would seat us immediately. So every night we did that.  We got dressed for dinner, went there, got the card and then went to Schooners and had a glass of wine. Then we went to dinner and sat right down.

My absolute favorite comedians name was Rich (forget his last name, but it was a Jewish name)..soooo funny. The woman (can't remember her name at all, sorry and I'm at work so I can't look it up) was NOT too funny the first night that we saw her. The second night she was better, but not as good as Rich.  The MC "Jamezy" was actually funnier than her.

Favorite bar was "Bow and Stern". We went there 3 different nights to hear Charlie Jourdan, but I think he was finishing up after our cruise.  We loved him.  We also liked the piano player/singer at Schooner and of course, the bar next to the Flow Rider was a big hit as well.

I can't even believe that we are back for almost a week already.. 😞

    Patti

I was on the same cruise. The comedian Rich was hysterical we were in the first row so he picked on my friends mom who had a heavy Italian accent. And your right the woman comedian was blah

  7. Responding to my own question.  Back from the Allure and low limit was for all tables Let it Ride, 3 card, UTH all $5. In the beginning of the week the tables all went back to $10 minimum however casino was not that crowded and they kept all the tables @ $5 except BJ which was $10 minimum

Not sure if anyone is keeping track of the different offers for different ships, but just in case, here is our Owner's suite offer.

We are in an Ultra Spacious Ocean View with Large Balcony (OAS, August.) Our offer for the Owner's Suite was a min bid of $700 pp.

Other offers were 1 bedroom Aqua Theater Suite ($850,) Crown Loft Suite ($750,) Grand Suite ($800,) and the Junior Suite ($100.)  Would have loved to try for one of the suites to move up from a regular balcony, but the sleeping arrangements would not work for our family. We are traveling with our 2 adult children and brother and sister would not appreciate sharing the sofa bed. So, balcony with the bunk beds it stays.

I think the offer bids are all different. We were in a crown loft suite our offers were as follow:

ATS 1 bedroom starting at $100

ATS 2 bedroom starting at $400

Star loft suite starting at $800

and yes we won our ATS 2 bedroom for $100 over minimum bid

Before I leave home I put tip money in white envelopes for the last day.

One envelope each  for the steward,  for the butler and  for the concierge.

At the end of the cruise I either leave those amounts in place or add/subtract.

The person most times that gets the biggest tip from me is the room steward.

I did that on my cruise last week. Before I left home I had an envelope marked Sunday-Saturday for gambling, an envelope marked money for cabs, excursion shopping, an envelope with 1s and 5s in it for drink and dining tips.  Once we got on board there were 4 of us we made an envelope for butler and one for steward. All 4 of us put money in these and locked in safe.  Our butler (genie) was so good we added more to her envelope mid way through the cruise. We were used to butlers on NCL and hadn’t realized how much more genies do on RCI. We had no need to tip concierge because the genie did his/her things so money we planned on giving concierge went in genie envelope. Dinner was always fun with my friend I sailed with every night we argued about whose leaving the tip. She had done exactly what I did with all her envelopes including the one that had singles and fives.

When the comedians pick on you, how extreme is it?

Does it seem fun, or is it borderline offensive?

It could be offensive but it was all in fun and yes he did pick on me I was right in front row center. They warn u before his show that he’s gonna do that to people in the front

LOL- that’s funny :). I have a question about the comedy show- are there two comedians each week? We were able to make reservations for day 2 at midnight and day 7 at 10 pm. Are these different comedians?

There were 2 comedians. They were the same mid week and last night but with different material. The guy comedians show basically is pick on the audience we were in the first row and of course got picked on lol. 2nd comedian was a woman she was just ok not like the first guy

    Hello!

I’m starting a tipping thread. I know, I know.  I should know better.  But this has a bit of a twist.

Right now we are traveling in Sky class. But we are hoping to bid on a Star class cabin in the Royal Up offer.

If we wind up “winning” it, we’ll get a genie. But we will have paid significantly less than we would have if we originally booked Star class.  Does that change peoples’ opinions on how much you should tip them?  Whether or not you think it does...what is the going tip for a 7 night cruise for a genie?

I wonder if a lot of genies have gotten screwed because of this scenario. We would NEVER want to skimp on tipping them. Just have no concept on what is acceptable vs what is cheap. 🤣

    thanks for the help!

    Hi there

we just got off the Allure on Sunday and originally had a crown loft suite and bid on the 2 bedroom ATS and won our bid. We had an awesome genie. There were 4 of us and were pretty easy going with our genie never had her go out of her way. In fact she kept appearing at every venue we were at to check on us.  We gave her a very generous tip that was well deserved. Do what you feel is right. There is no set amount. I’m sure you will do the right thing
