Royal Princess, San Francisco. March 27. I am having a panic attack. I thoght I had all my ducks in a row, now this....
-
I just got a E mail from Princess saying that we need to show a Q R code to enter the terminal. I have looked at all of our documents and cannot find a Q R code. We leave in two days HELP! What are they wanting? Where do I find it?
-
can we use a power strip with a serge protector in our cabin?
-
We have not been on Princess for many years. Please tell me if you have seen ladies wearing stretch pants on board during the day. I am not asking for permission to do so (I am way too old to need permission to do anything.) I just want to know if it is done. Thank you.

What is the "juice bar" listed in the benefits? What varieties of juices and where does one get them?

Anita, I just discovered this review. We did this cruise btb in August. Reading this has brought back back many great memories. I am only on page 11so am looking forward to the rest. Thank you for doing this. Your pictures are fantastic!

Oh, good! another Jim _Ian blog! I will be following eagerly. I was so amazed by your transpacific blog that we booked the same cruise for this September. We had never considered a transpacific, but you guys seemed to have had such fun (dispute the two typhoons you experienced) that we are going to try it. I hope you have a great cruise.

We are going to be in a royal suite for the first time in a long time. What happens when we go to a specialty restaurant? Do they present us with a bill, we add a tip and sign it and it is removed automatically. Do they know we are in a royal suite and not give us a bill? Please tell me how this is handled. Thank you.
-
Thank you for the reassurance. We will be very happy to put our o.b.c to good use instead of losing it.

I have read on the board that people have used their unused on board credit to designate extra tips for staff(butler, lumenae, etc.) Do we know if the people we choose actually receive the money? I would hate to think that these hard working people did not get the extra cash.
-
It is "yes" for lunch at Luminae on birding. Michaels club will be open when you board and you can drop in for drinks any time during the day and fairly late into the evening. You will be really spoiled with the suite life.

Does anyone know if this is available in Vancouver B.C.?

Have you. though of renting a battery operated scooter for your dad? I have bad knees, also and it has changed my cruising experience for me.
-
Absolutely normal! I love the smell. The only problem for me is that they make my hair look and feel like straw, so I have to use it only when I am not going out.

I have enjoyed 8 cruises on Celebrity and 6 more on other lines, all of them except 2in various suites. I always wear my seapass on a lanyard. I didn't know until reading this thread, that it was frowned upon by people. Am a bad or uncouth person?

I am hoping the "tower" is an A.D.A. Elevator. Otherwise, I will not be able to get Me and my scooter up to the retreat sun deck in September. I see that there is an A.D.A ramp on the deck plan, but no elevator shine. What gives?
-
Thank you. That seems easy.

We will be on the transpacific cruise from Vancouver to Yokohama next September. Celebrity offers transport for $78.00 a person. Does anybody know if the bus has a lift to get me on the bus? Celebrity has been very helpful in the past in getting me accessible transport in U.S ports, but I do not know if the same will be the case in Japan. Thank you for any advice.
-
We will be doing the transpacific cruise on the Millennium in September. Are there accessible taxis in Japan to get us from the Yokohama cruise port to Noreta airport? How much is the average fair? Can the taxi carry my taken apart scooter? Thank you for any advice.

Gerry, thank you for the information on the lack of sidewalks in Dutch Harbor. Sounds like, unless the city fathers have a attack of civic improvement, I will be staying on the ship in that port. Oh, well, I am sure the scenery will be beautiful, as it is in all Alaska ports.
-
Loving your review. We will be taking the trans pacific next September. Could you check something for me? When you get to Dutch Harbor, could you notice if the streets/sidewalks are do-able for a wheelchair or three wheeled scooter? I would really love to be able to get off the ship before the long treck west.

I know that positioning cruises are "no perks" but if we book a royal suite do we get the "privileges" of beverage packages, unlimited specialty restaurants, and bar set up? Does anyone have experience of this?
-
Love the Celebrity mugs! Where do you get them? Maybe gift shop on board? May as a "gift" for your cabin? Will the folks in Al Baco put your drinks in them?
-
Jim, I am loving reading your posts. We are considering the Bering strait to Japan cruise for next year. Can you answer a couple of questions? Do the suites get the beverage package for this cruise? I would hate to have to PAY for my coffee at El Baco! Also, does the royal suite get the two bottles of booze? Can we still get drinks at Michaels club? (my hubby would hate to have to PAY for his drinks) thanks very much for any answers you can give us.
