Yes we had to island hop but we eventually caught the ship. Luckily we had stayed right at the airport so we got our luggage , there were many people with no luggage that caught the ship also
I had done this same thing every time I cruised and had no problems until the last one , we flew in March and a storm blew in, we got o the port at 730, the ship was there and the port closed, we watched it sail away.
Does anyone know if it’s best to buy the package with your booking or wait? We are primarily beer drinkers so I’m thinking classic. Does anyone what beer is offered on Apex on celebrity ships?
Thank you, in some ways I wish I had just gone ahead and booked instead of trying to research as the reviews have my head spinning! The Viva holds more passengers and we are going to the Caribbean in April so I’m hoping it is not packed! It’s a 7 might.
Question for you, on sea days did you find it to be packed by pool areas? That has always been the biggest issue for us, people holding chairs and saving chairs.
Good question. I think I have narrowed it down to the two Celebrity ships and the Viva. I guess I’m just looking for peoples experiences so I can’t figure it out. It’s a bit confusing with the dining on celebrity as far as what is included with a regular veranda cabin for dining and what is extra .as well as what is included in your fare and what you have to have packages for or pay extra etc.
I was looking at Seven Seas Splendor also but some in my group didn’t want to spend that for a 7 day. I’m not sure I wanted to either but it looks amazinf
Yes that is what I heard as well, when you open the window the AC shuts off. Also I am shorter and I’m assuming that sitting on the balcony my vision is right where the window opens too but I guess it’s not much different than a regular balcony railing.
Which one are you referring to with the food? I think the aft view looks amazing. I’m tryinto find the right one for our group and that’s what is difficult. Also navigating cruise lines I’m not familiar with.
Viva is Norwegians new ship and it’s 7 days with 7 ports. I think the veranda sounds lovely but it’s pretty warm in the Caribbean so do worry sleeping would be hard if it gets as hot as people say, was hoping to see some folks with experience with some of these things. Have you been on Refelction?
Oh I know! I’m pretty open for costs, it seems most of what I’ve looked at is around the $5000 range per stateroom. That doesn’t include airfare. I’m comfortable with that but would be willing to spend more for the right cruise as it is a milestone birthday.
I thought I had this figured out since I have cruised more than 5-6 times but I’m hearing times have changed so looking for a little more advice. Looking at the 7 port cruise 3/31 on the Viva or a 7 day on either the Apex or the Reflection. So as far as Celebrity I would prefer to try the Apex because it’s new and that sounds exciting but the veranda scares me. The itinerary is better on the Refkection and the gave a sunset balcony but older ship. So does anyone have experience with these two ships and the veranda or sunset balcony? I’ve cruised Princess and RC in the past always loved both but the itineraries aren’t lining up unless we go on old ships that we’ve been on. I am very interested in celebrity. This is also my 50th, however I don’t act it lol so I also don’t want a ship that doesn’t have fun activities either. So a NCL I am not a fan of but I’m thinking new ship amazing itinerary! Help! Are there any I’m missing ?
also looking at Seven Seas Splendor. Help!
Yes that’s the hang up, do I go with the fancy new ship for the fun of that or the older ships with more ports. It’s hard to find one with multiple islands we haven’t been to, and it’s for a milestone birthday
That makes sense, it just seems like the more port filled itineraries are on these ships, I’ve cruised the Jewel and Rhapsody before years ago, but I’m hearing they are need of repair.
