  1. I have no clue why my second paragraph didn’t post, I apologize. Yes, I work with the access desk on every sailing and they’ve been phenomenal! The unit has been approved without hesitation. My biggest concern was if the smoke alarm would be triggered in the cabin by the humidifier. Sorry for not clarifying earlier. I completed the form (and received approval) at the time of booking. They’re a delightful team to work with. Thank you all for jumping in.
  2. Recovering from surgery and will need to use a humidifier but I’ve heard so many stories about smoke alarms accidently triggering even from just showers and leaving the bathroom door open. Is it safe to bring it onboard? The device outputs cold mist and is collapsible for travel. I need it per my doctors recommendation but I’m also very concerned about potentially causing an issue with the smoke alarm and then being in hot water with the ship. Does anyone have any experience or suggestions? Thank you!
  3. Looking for a good all-inclusive option in Nassau. It’ll be our only port of call (unless GSC cooperates). Can’t go into the pool or get wet because of recent surgery so I’m looking for good food and drink options (champagne, top shelf liquor, smoothies etc). I realize that AI has quality limits… any and all suggestions are welcome! Good accessibility is preferred. As a vision impaired individual, how difficult was it to get transportation?
  4. FAS+ doesn’t work for freshly squeezed juice anymore? I thought P+ allows it?
  5. Celebrating a promotion at work and upgraded to FAS+. Anyone recently been on Epic and willing to give feedback? 1) Epic offers a full Starbucks menu including refreshers, yes? This is included in FAS+? 2) Love to have champagne with desert at dinner, looks like my best option is the French speciality dining? Haven’t done it before and they offer some actual champagne In comparison to Prosecco 3) What does the vodka selection look like? I’ve read different PDFs provided by NCL. 4) Missed the martini bar on the Eacape recently. Looks like Epic offers a martini bar? 5) Watching some reviews of the ice bar, someone advised that those with a drink package get 4 free drink coupons for the ice bar? I know FAS+ doesn’t work inside the ice bar… so is this a separate package? Thanks!
  6. Would maybe like a hot water bottle pad work? I’m just thinking outside the box… thank you for the insight.
  7. Thanks! I wasn’t sure if there were things that one, as a disabled traveler with NCL would find incredibly useful but not normally thought about. I asked for large print menu and the mattress topper along with the fridge emptied. Thanks for the reply
  8. So far, NCL has been great with coordinating and communicating. So, is there anything you would say is a MUST to coordinate with the access desk? First time solo with NCL. I’ve got the accessible cabin booked. For context, it’s low vision and walking impairment that’s the crux of my disability. I only recently discovered that they have a mattress pad option that can help if the mattress is uncomfortable. I asked them to clear the fridge so I can store what I need, no issues there. Any other suggestions to do prior to boarding? I like to get things done beforehand so it minimizes stress and disruption.
  9. The website says they have an accessibility team/department but so far no luck with getting anyone on the phone. Has anyone had experience through the lens of ADA? Walking disability and limited vision but can function independently without aids. I get that I shouldn’t be expecting too much given the $250 quote for 3 days but still… Any help is appreciated.
  10. Can anyone confirm that the attached menu is the most current? I couldn’t find one specific to the Escape. If premium plus was purchased, I assume the top shelf options on the menu would be included? Subject to availability of course. With all the changes recently, I’m looking to get the most current info available. TIA Joy1_Sugarcane_2023.pdf
  11. So, I don’t plan on using the WiFi all that much (considering a cruise is a way to disconnect and relax for me) but, I am curious to know… does the Escape have StarLink? I know the breakaway has it. My understanding is that only the breakaway will have it for now as part of a pilot?
  12. Here’s a look at FAS+ (Free at Sea Plus). Free_at_Sea_Plus_ver011823.pdf
  13. This is precisely what I was looking for. For some reason, the search function didn’t bring up this thread. I’m not much of a coffee drinker, so I’ll be good there. Thanks again for the post!
  14. Does anyone have a list of what’s offered in the coffee shop on the Escape? I’ve heard it features Starbucks coffee but is not a full Starbucks. I’ll survive. Would that be the location for the fresh squeezed juices as well?
  15. I like the way you think. Do the MDR and then a little “break” to walk to the buffet get a desert and go to the waterfront with a drink. I’m not much of a cruise buffet guy whatsoever. Nothing against it, I just try to find alternatives.
  16. To add to this, you can do the FAS+ (Free at Sea Plus) which includes bottled water, etc. See attached. Might be worth it for you if you plan to upgrade the WiFi, etc. Free_at_Sea_Plus_ver011823.pdf
  17. Oh man. Usually I skip the buffets but I think in this case I may need to revisit my choices. Please let me know how you like it. Especially the food, haha.
  18. Found this video in another thread (all the credit to the original author). I'll be on the NCL Escape. I recall that pre-pandemic they had Crêpe offerings. Is this still a thing?
  19. Thanks! Do you happen to know what/where the juices can be found? Do they have fresh squeed orange juice?
