We are actually on the same 7 day cruise on Pride of America. We had bad experience with the taxi driver first day in Maui. He was rude even before we boarded his taxi and asked if we were next and if anyone else was ahead of us. We were directed by the attendant to enter his taxi so we were confused. Then he took us to the Hertz car rental tram bus terminal and charged us $20 !! He did not use a meter ( our mistake for not checking). When we challenged him on the fare, he pulled out a plastic card that says something like for under 5 mile, the taxi charge is $20. The card looked home made !!! But what the hell, I am not gonna let this ruin our vacation so we just paid. But what a rip off !!!
