I proposed to her! There was a spot behind the baseball diamond park where a little gravel spit extends into the water where it was just us two there. She took this panorama and then turned around to me on one knee and a ring 💍 She said yes very quickly! Once it happened and the happy crying stopped, we went to the brewery for a pint (blonde ale for me, red ale for her) and after the beautiful walk back following a humpback whale, got some delicious mini donuts which were well worth the wait! Somehow better than the PNE ones which I thought were impossible to top 🤣

Just got home from the southbound trip and really enjoyed reading along to this! Seems getting sick is happening to a large part of the cruisers from the groups I'm in, thankfully me and my now-fiance (We got engaged in Hoonah!) seem to have escaped it so far but giving in a couple more days before I can say we're in the clear! Glad that the last-half of the cruise had some nice weather to make up for that incredibly rough 1st sea day and Juneau, and the Northern Lights were such a treat, it really was a bucket list item for us both! The staff was fantastic like you said, it definitely felt like a special ship. Sadly our paths didn't cross so we could celebrate those two Canucks wins but I'm glad you had a great time as well 🥳

We'll have Canucks games to watch on the way down!! Please keep me in the loop if there's going to be any kind of gathering at one of the bars/pubs! Tuesday night Game 1 🥳

Sadly think we'll be arriving on the ship a bit later than this as we're taking the wildlife tour from ACT big bus that drops us off around 4:30, but will absolutely say hi if we end up running into each other 😁 Big W tonight for our Canucks!

Believe a lot of the Norwegian Jewel upgrade bids for the May 6 - 13 sailing just went through today. I got upgraded from inside to oceanview for $55 pp (min bid was $50).

Me and my girlfriend will be joining on the back half of your trip, getting excited as it's my first cruise since being a teenager and her first cruise ever. Had some hotel problems yesterday (Westmark Anchorage cancelling and rebooking our reservation) but it balanced out with getting our room upgrade today! We're doing Mendenhall in Juneau but otherwise going on hikes and enjoying the cities (and food) we head into. Hopefully will get to watch the Canucks play in the second round on the ship. Excited to possibly run into some of you while on board!
