One more question… the 12 day and the 9 day cruise basically have the same price… do you recommend to book the longer cruise for better value? Will 12 day be too long of a stay? We usually do 7 day cruises before… not sure if we have the endurance for a 12 day cruise lol

Hi! This will be our first time cruising with Celebrity. Here are some of my questions… I am comparing it with the MSC yacht club. 1. tender priority: so the cruise will tender at santorini, I wonder if being in retreat gives you priority tender.. this is actually the main reason we will opt for Retreat, to get on the first tender boat so we have longer time to enjoy! For anyone who cruised to Santorini before, if you don’t book suite class, how long do you usually wait to get tendered to the port? 2. will the concierge book special dinning and escort you to the theatre? 3. Can we eat at blu and other main dining restaurant if we are just booking the most basic retreat suite? 4. Are there any specific area of the boat you’d avoid? We like quite rooms… 5. are there any unlimited or other specialty dining package available? What’s the price like? 6. is the wifi 2 per cabin or 2 per person? 7. are fresh squeezed juice and smoothie included or part of drinking package? thanks in advance!

Thank you all for the input! Just to share the data point. booked last minute cruise 10 day prior the 2/11 sailing for 2 cabin Bella balconies. One have 2 adults. One have two adults and a baby. 2/7 receive bids email for both. Bid same on both. 2/9 2 adult balcony bid get accepted. Did a mock book, still 40 YC room left. Called to upgrade directly but they said there are only double occupancy room left so no way to upgrade. Increased the 2 adult 1 baby room bid. 2/11 the midnight prior sailing got message bid was unsuccessful. 2/11 check on board prior sailing, only 3 upgrade left, need to pay additional 5380 minimum. So I said no. 2/11 check on board after sailing, only 1 upgrade left. Need to pay additional 3580. and I tried to upgrade, that room was taken and became unavailable…. I am thinking maybe the person quote me prior sailing misread the number? Since they look so similar. Also, while we are onboard, they said since we have baby it’s ok to upgrade to a double occupancy room. Very inconsistent… the buffet and MDR food is very so so and limited compare to other cruise. But it’s only day 1 and I might be biased for not getting to the YC. I heard people have to wait long time to get their food served. We did early dining and Cheena our waitress was able to serve us food very fast and we finish food in like 45 minutes. embarking doesn’t seems bad either at 9:30. Not many people. We pretty much got onboarded the same time as our YC friend. Our room was available way faster than theirs.

Just received the email that the bid was unsuccessful… bummer. we know someone that bid lower than us and got upgraded…

Two days… that’s nice! We are 1 day prior sailing and it still says pending… not sure what our chance is

congrats on the Upgrade! We are sailing at 3pm….I think it’s that you can’t modify your bid within 48 hour of sailing but not sure..: we are not canceling our bid anyways.. Finger crossed that upgrade 🧚 visits us and our offer get accepted… we have family already in YC and would really like to join them….

Sailing MSC Meraviglia in 2 days…. Can people share their timeline on when they receive the bid decisions? I know other people bid the same amount at the same time with me already get an upgrade. I just modified my bid to be a bit higher… my TA says there are still YC 20+ rooms left…. I am anxious waiting to see if my bid will get accepted….

wow 2600 is such a steal!! So the YC Royal Suite is 5000 total on website? Or the additional cost to upgrade? Is this a 7 day cruise?

Couple years ago this place is still public and free to visit. Now it’s part of private property by four seasons and unless you pay $$$$ to stay at the hotel, you won’t be able to visit it. If you dine at the hotel restaurant you are not allowed to visit either.. only registered hotel guest… Anyone know if there is another way to visit this garden? TIA!

Wow thanks for sharing the data point! Did you buy the first one directly without the upgrading program? Do you need to pay for the full price diff to upgrade a Non yacht club to a yacht club onboard?

Thank you! Same here! Waiting to receive bid emails because our travel agent says they’re still a chance, even we are sailing in 5 days…. Looks like the ship has lots of yacht club rooms left so we will see! Knowing we can bid for yacht club for less than half the price make me hesitant to pay for the rack price… especially if there are lots availabilities. Really want to give the bid process a try lol

Is it possible to upgrade YC when you are onboard? I know it’s possible for YC interior upgrade onboard. But I just wonder if anyone has done upgrade onboard from a different category to YC. TIA!

Sorry that I created duplicated topics so I am repurpose this to a new topic… we are bring a 8 month baby to the cruise and we are told by the agency that there is no triple room for YC, but if we can receive a bid and get accepted, it will be MSC that will try to figure out how to accommodate this. I called MSC the other day and they say it’s possible to sign an occupancy waiver… have anyone experienced this before? TIA!

I found this website https://www.msccruises.ca/msc-upgrade-program that you can use to check your eligibility! But as soon as I change my country to USA the link is gone. Not sure if this is a Canada specific thing. But this website is really neat. Does other cruise company have these bid eligibility check?

200 credit? That might be the onboard credit refund? Did you book YC?

Sailing from NY… just made the reservation yesterday. Our TA says likely I will receive the bid emails. I saw like 40+ YC and Aurea available still… but only 50 some fant balcony available to book. Not sure if this can predict how full the ship is..

I just booked a last minute cruise that sail on 2/11. For me we are able to take the photos successfully the app shows load error. our TA suggest to try using website but I don’t see check-in available via website. And I just can’t link my booking to my account. So I don’t even know if my current email will receive any notification from MSC. They really need to work on their app and system… I am anxious to receive the bid emails. It’s 9 day before sailing and for now we didn’t get them…
