How long of a drive is that? Safe travels!
We're north Dallas (Frisco/Plano) so it's a solid 8.5 hrs. Thanks!

MSC is currently at the dock you circled in green. Enchantment of the Seas is on the land side of the dock you circled in red. Princess is beside it. We’re next at the left-most dock you didn’t circle and Carnival is last.
Our taxi driver said there’ll be 8 ships in port tomorrow including the Icon of the Seas.
Wow! Busy day, but sounds like nothing like tomorrow. 8 ships plus the biggest? That is nuts!

8am comes even faster when you forget to put your clock ahead an hour before going to bed. Set the alarm early enough that it didn’t really matter.
Buffet for breakfast. Not overly crowded but that was one crunchy pancake.
Pulling into port with the Carnival Magic.
The Enchantment of the Seas beat us here.
A crowded port gets more crowded when two ships got here on top of each other.
Interesting. By the picture it looks like you are parked at the Royal Caribbean dock (red circle on this map). Our itinerary says we'll park at the Punta Langosta dock by the town (green circle). I'd prefer where you are, but we do need to be able to find our excursion!

We are sailing on 3/10 too. Our family of 4 (2 adults 2 teens) and friends (2 adults to 2 teens). Lots of families with kids on this sailing. We have done a similar itinerary on this ship from NOLA before, over a holiday. So we expect it to be really busy.
Awesome. And yes, Spring Break all across Dallas (certainly why we're going with our teen and pre-teen). We're part of a group of 45 from our church--all families with kids. Use the pool in the mornings! 🙂

Went to Moderno last night. Not many people there, so it was nice.
Meat menu. I took meat pictures, but one piece of meat on the plate at a time just doesn’t look impressive.
A proper trip to the salad bar at a Brazilian steakhouse.
Tres Leches cake for desert and the chocolate ice cream our waiter offered to go downstairs and get special for my wife. A cruise hero already.
Stopped to get our gold pin. Since we got bonus points on two of our previous cruises were already gold after only three.
Some buffet art.haha--love the salad bar plate. Only a rookie eats from the salad bar at a Brazilian steakhouse!

Thanks so much for posting! I've seen the dailies on a few recent sailings of this cruise and I think this is the first time I've seen the Motown tribute.
Also, saw you went to Moderno last night. Are you planning any other specialty dining?
Thanks and happy cruising! -

Yup. We're on the 3/10 sailing. Where are y'all coming in from? From where I am, in Charlotte, we're getting tons of rain, hopefully our flight can make it out. Our back plan is to just hop in a car if the flight is canceled.
We're in Dallas. Driving on Saturday.

Anyone else?
Interested to see how it goes next week. Looks like the cruise is completely sold out. 😬

We’re on deck 5 in an inside room.
Cool. Is that where you were for the sailaway when you took those pictures? Or was that a different deck?

You have some nice pictures there!
I agree!
boffo: Great pics. So what deck are you on? And it looks like you're aft?

Maybe 5:20 to 5:30. We just prefer watching from the lower decks because it’s less crowded, you’re closer to the water and it’s easy to go from the back to either side of the ship to watch.
Oh that's a good idea. Maybe we'll try that. I'm pro things that are less crowded. I just wish our group didn't want to eat so early!

Very cool! Happy cruising! What time would you say sailaway actually happened, and when about was it not as interesting to be above decks?
We are traveling with a group and have a group dinner reservation that I'm concerned will interfere with sailaway. -

Woohoo! Greatest place ever. Had I seen this in time I would have given you must-do's for Buc-ee's. Safe travels.
BTW, I'm new to this thread, but very appreciative. We are doing your exact same cruise one week later (Mar 10-17).-

I've read several reviews that have said the water isn't usually very clear, and there isn't much sea life anyway. At least off the beach.
