Our cruise is in May and we had booked an excursion through the cruise line to see the Mayapan ruins last year. January 9th I received an email from the excursion company and then another from the cruise line stating that the excursion was cancelled and I would be refunded. They've since removed the Mayapan excursions and replaced them with another site. When you Google the Mayapan ruins it now states that it is temporarily closed but I have not found any more articles about the closure or when it will be opened again.
