We ended up cancelling and rebooking it. TA and PCC couldn’t resolve.

September 2025 sailing.

We made the booking with HA agent not PCC. We called back and was told they cannot adjust the cruise fare based on VH. Was told to call resolution department. Called resolution department and somehow they cannot make any changes. Should we cancel the booking, wait for the refund and start new booking? It is very frustrating to say the least.

Yes, paid CO upon booking lower class stateroom. Then request room change to standard verandah but CO complimentary upgrade was not applied

Booking agent made the change so we assumed we used our club orange to receive the upgrade. Please advise how to go through the ship inventory dept for upgrade. We were not aware of CO process to receive an upgrade.

We purchased Club Orange to get complimentary room upgrade. We booked obstructed verandah and purchased club orange. We changed our room to standard verandah and total cruise fare increased. We tried to get this resolved with resolution department and it’s been an ongoing battle. I feel like cancelling the cruise and start a new booking.

Currently, we are booked on Cabin 7046 on K'dam for our Inside Passage. When the ship is docked, which side faces the town? We have option to book Cabin 6039 which is on the starboard side. What is your take on 7046 vs 6039.

Do you mind sharing which midship cabin you enjoyed?

Are we missing out not booking aft view cabins for Alaska cruise. I’ve also read aft view have drawbacks as well. Engine noise and soot. Yes, meant crow’s nest lol.

How far is aft view verandah cabin to greenhouse spa. We can upgrade to aft view on deck 6 or deck 8.

We have verandah 7046 on K’dam. We have given an opportunity to upgrade to higher verandah cabin. We chose fwd cabin to be close to greenhouse spa and Neptune lounge. We don’t mind mid ship verandah as long as pax orange vessel is not below or near our cabin. Any suggestions on verandah cabin recommendations

We are booked on K'dam 7046 which is fwd verandah. Upon research this cabin might look straight down to orange life boats. We want to stay at deck 7 or 8 fwd to be close to greenhouse spa and observation deck. We were advised to stay away from deck 10 which is close to greenhouse spa but the balcony is even smaller than other standard verandah cabins.

From what i gather, food on HAL club orange is no different than MDR. Club Orange is private dining but same food as main dining room. So, it boils down to Glacier Bay vs Hubbard glacier, dining options and better ship layout for viewing scenery.

Spa verandah has no real perks like thermal pass or specialty dining like Aqua Class. Spa Verandah (VQ) is just close to Greenhouse Spa from the projections I read online. I also gather Solstice offer far better viewing areas as opposed to Koningsdam to Alaska.

We are researching several cruise lines to Alaska. Our pririorty is better food, nicer ship, itinerary. We narrowed down to Solstice and K’dam. K’dam offers far better itinerary. Glacier Bay( is it really a must? And Tracy Arm excursion. Celebrity goes to Hubbard. I read Celebrity Persian Garden is far superior than HA Greenhouse Spa. Food also far superior than HA. Is Aqua class offered by celebrity worth extra cost

Is upgrading to Spa Verandah worth extra cost to be near greenhouse spa on K’dam? We booked standard verandah on deck 7 fwd balcony. How far is greenhouse spa from our cabin deck 7 (7046) which is fwd cabin location. We don’t want to want to be too far away from our cabin.

Agreed. I think we rather spend toward specialty dining instead. Rudi de mer which is not included with have it all promotion

thank you so much for this info. TA and HAL didn't have an answer for this excursion. Indoor seating is important for us due to weather. We don't want to be outside in the rain entire excursion. Now, for the weather, we are thinking end of May or end of August. Which month is warmer.

thank you, I don’t find CO too appealing for us. We’ve already booked VA cabin. I think we rather spend money on specialty dining since CO dining is just private dining and menu is no different than MDR

Does spa verandah VQ, come with thermal suite pass? We’ve done aqua class with Celebrity and thermal pass and dining at Blu was inclusive with aqua class

We booked standard verandah. With CO, what kind of cabin would be an upgrade in the same category other than aft.

Can we be the first in line to board cataraman without CO?
