  1. would you mind telling me the biggest differences between baha mar and atlantis? BM doesn't advertise as many "adult friendly" options, it's just going to be myself and my sister (28 and 22, respectively)... but I don't love the idea of not booking our excursion through RCCL 😕
  2. Thanks to you both! I think it's good to know that there are pros and cons to both options, regardless of price. I have seen that it's $5 per person for the Ferry, and it's a 15 minute ride (30 minutes round trip, which is why it runs on the half hour). I imagine the taxis run independently so pricing may vary from fare to fare and one could get a price for a taxi that is significantly higher than they would pay for the same party size on the Ferry, while pricing with another taxi service may be more comparable in affordability. At the end of the day, it sounds to me like the taxi is more direct and on-call, while it may be a bit more expensive. I think this would be a preferable option for parties that have small children, multigenerational travel parties who have grands who would benefit from being dropped directly at the resort, parties with individuals who are cognitively or physically limited and/or disabled, and people who want to be on their own schedule more-so than having to plan their morning/afternoon around the half hour schedule of the ferry. The ferry sounds to be more reliable with regards to affordability and is a more novelty option, while requiring a bit more legwork (literally) and some wait time for passengers. This could also be a preferable option for someone who doesn't like the traffic patterns/driver behaviors on the island. I was just there with a friend who has serious anxiety about driving, we did the Jeep excursion and she didn't end up getting to drive because we were paired up with another couple (fun fact, you don't get your own jeep if you're a party of 2), and we almost forewent the excursion altogether because her anxiety was running very high not being in control of the vehicle knowing the traffic of the island like she does from visits in the past. Thanks again and please let me know if either of you have any additional pros/cons to offer on each option so I and future cruisers can make a truly informed decision for their day at Nassau!
  3. I'm seeing a lot of forums about this but some of the answers are as old as 2009... what is the best way to get from the port to Atlantis resort and back?
  4. Hi All! I am going to be cruising with my sister in September. This is going to be her first time cruising, and her away from home "headspace" falls somewhere between OCD and social anxiety. Basically, things as mundane as Costco stress her out because she goes in without a plan and there are lots of people and she loses her sense of direction and her brain starts to scream at her to get out. BUT, if things are structured and she has a plan/destination, she can relax and truly loves it. So I'm trying to use photo/video scavenger hunts to structure our itineraries for each day. I used the app Scavify to make a license plate bingo for the drive down, to plan out our day in Magic Kingdom (Thursday before porting out of Canaveral on Friday), and our embarkation day (stateroom, muster, dining room, etc). We are getting day passes for Atlantis on Saturday and they have their own scavenger hunt in their app which is perfect... So I'm really left with trying to come up with something for Sunday at CoCoCay. It's going to be a relatively lowkey day (I actually really prefer the placement of it as our last port day compared to my sailing on the Freedom in March where it was our first stop followed by Nassau) but I still want to have structure IF she's looking for it at that point. I'm thinking just photo prompts... more like an "I Spy" x Selfie Challenge deal. I am getting us Beach Club passes because I know she will appreciate it more than Hideaway. So, from the arrivals plaza to getting back on the ship, what are some photo/video prompts we could use? I appreciate any suggestions you have to offer!
  5. We are sailing on the Utopia in September, our muster station is E3... I want to make sure we know where to go when we board so we don't hold up the embarkation ðŸĪŠ I think the Utopia is going to be enough like the Wonder and Oasis that the muster locations should be similar? Does anyone have any pictures of the map?
