  1. Not personally, but I have a brother-in-law who tried this. When he tried to cancel the refreshment package, it seemed both the refreshment and deluxe were linked together as if one unified package, it would not allow him to cancel one without automatically canceling the other
  2. Bloody Mary and Mimosa are on the room service menu for breakfast. DW and I order a couple Bloody Marys each morning with breakfast; we have never been charged more than we would have been charged @ a bar.
  3. There is no requirement for the underaged passenger to purchase any package at all
  4. And you are holding third class tickets…..
  5. Just call Royal, they will make you buy DD the refreshment package, but they don’t ask for any justification.
  6. On Odyssey last month, 8 days, 80 C&A drinks, never received a receipt to sign
  7. There is no “code” to deviate from
  8. Sounds like you may benefit from finding a travel agent with some group space available. Princess isn't a fair comparison, they aren't in the same class as Royal IMO. Unfortunately for you, Royal is sailing at over 105% occupancy with current pricing, so obviously many feel the value is there.
  9. I am not sure what cruise line you are comparing to, but I find Royal's individual drink prices to be in line with the industry. Living in a large metro area, the drinks onboard Royal's ships are not far off from what we pay at a restaurant or bar on any given day.
  10. you don't have to have a drink package to cruise; just purchase drinks individually
