Thanks all for the replies. Good to know that I could withdraw it on the ship rather than wait for a check.
If at online check in I selected a cash sail and sign account, could I change it to a credit card account later at embarkation if I change my mind? Or is it once you've checked in that's it and it can't be changed?
Thanks. If it's not possible to withdraw money, I'm probably better just using a credit card account as I think the fees charged would likely be less than the money I'd lose if I deposited too much cash and lost it.
The credit card company will use a set exchange rate on the day that Carnival processes the transaction (then apply a percentage fee of the transaction value).
With the cash sail and sign account I understand you have to put deposit money on the first day of the cruise. Is there a way to withdraw money from it on the ship before the cruise ends if you deposit on too much? I know that Carnival will issue a check after the cruise if you have over $10 left, but as I'm from Europe cashing a check in USD will be problematic for me.
I could do credit card but will likely get charged extortionate fees with it being in USD so would prefer to do a cash account.
Just wondering whether you have to use the Carnival hub app to disembark, or can you disembark without doing the digital disembark? The carnival help page (https://help.carnival.com/app/answers/detail/a_id/1369/~/preparing-for-debarkation-day) talks about digital disembarkation and using the app but doesn't mention what to do if you won't have access to the app/WiFi whilst on the cruise.
I'd ideally like to disembark using self assist (so carrying own luggage) without using the app but unsure if this is possible?
