  1. Sorry for strange question... My DD loves PB and eats it daily. Does the ship (on Oasis) have peanut butter anywhere, either able to order or in the packets? since it is a high allergy food I wasn't sure if they just didn't carry it or not. We can bring some to-go cups if they don't have it. Thanks!

  2. We are booked on a RCCL excursion to Playa Mia, end of April. Excursion states we are taking a boat ride to and from the location. Does anyone know if this involves the ferries, or a private boat company? We haven't recieved any change info from RC yet on it as maybe they are hoping it will be resolved by then or they will switch us to a bus if possible?

  3. I like to drink hot tea often and especially at dinner. I know "tea" is free, but do they usually have hot tea available all day such as at the drink stations? If so, does anyone know what type of teas they have? I am kinda picky on what I drink, as I don't like the typical flavors (eng bfast, earl grey, jasmine, etc).

Also, can anyone confirm that was recently on the ship ( we are on Oasis), that the drink machines have flavored Dasani waters that are NOT sparkling? I am not able to drink any carbonation or sugary drinks, so I will drink the flavored water and powerade zero. Just want to make sure they still actually have it.

    thanks!!

  4. Hi All! We are booked in 2 rooms on deck 3. I am curious about the deck, with the rink and conf center being in the center, and theatre/DR on ends. Does it get busy in the hallways. Also, wondering if our cabins are in the best location on this deck or if there is better. I have looked online A LOT for any videos or pics of this deck to get an idea of how it is set up, but can not find a thing except room videos. Does anyone have a video or pics of this level at all? Anything that may give us more idea of the setup? And any info on the traffic?

    Thanks!!

  5. Hi All! We just ordered the soda packages for our upcoming cruise. Hubby can put down a full drink in less then 2 minutes on a regular basis, and stand there to refill. We saw something online that says you can only refill every 15 mins, but it was an old post? Wondering if anyone knows how often (quickly) you can refill your cup from the freestyle machines? He doesn't drink soda, so going to a bar for refill I don't believe would work (guessing they have limited soda choices). We got the soda cards for powerade, HiC and flavored water mainly for our group..

    Thanks!

  6. I am sold on packing cubes after using them last year during a trip to 3 hotels. We were able to pack each person's clothes for each stay separately, then pull out only that packing cube, wear, repack and move on. I don't know that it helps with getting more "in" the suitcase, but it is certainly more organized which I love. Now for my DD, if you have a youngin, I think it is much better to use gallon ziplocs with 1 day of clothes (all pieces) packed in it. Sit on it and remove all air, then it is very compact and organized so they can see each daily choice.

The packing cubes we use are from MOC (amazon). I liked them because they came with 4 sizes. The smaller ones are used for undergarments or child usually. Link below to the ones we bought.

  7. I love Kathy Reichs books...if you have ever seen the show "Bones" on TV, she is the real life Temperance Brennan. Very detailed and funny writer, plus I love that she adds a little spanish and french in every once and a while.

Also, I know they are a little childish, but VERY good...the Paolini series (Eragon, Eldest and the new Inheritance that is not out yet). They are made for young adult reading, but very interesting...definitly could not put it down! Although, I am a Harry Potter lover, so they fit me well. :)

  8. I can say that I never tried it before, but either way it was bad. This was on the RCCL EOS (used to be Nordic Empress). I thought I would try something new and decided it was not for me. Another person at my table loved it and took my share to eat. He ate it, but said it was not as good as it could have been. Very salty, slimy and not a good taste

On a lighter side, I tried their seafood in cream sauce appetizer on the same cruise (not sure if they still have it). It is a combo of shrimp, clams, scallops, squid and octopus in the sauce over some pasta. I LOVED IT! :p

  9. I was not there for this one, but it is a running family joke. My parents and another couple they were with were waiting for the elevator. The door opened and the hubby from the other couple walked into the elevator first. While the rest of the group were entering, the hubby in first proceeded to fart in the elevator. As quickly as the all entered, they all exited right back out and into another elevator that had just opened. Once they got in to the other elevator, all in hysterics, the wife of the 'stinky' man, was laughing so hard she peed her pants!! They of course then had to go right back to the room so she could change. Like I said, this immediatly became a family joke and at that christmas, they had found (and altered with paint) a t-shirt that showed a person in an elevator farting with everyone running out. It was and still is hillarious. The bad thing is that me and my BF will be on a cruise with them in a couple months!!!
