  1. Can anyone tell me about E401? Just got "upgraded" from L115, which is the very forward cabin on the top, starboard side of Regal, to E401, from the look of it, is at the aft end of the 3rd life boat on the starboard side, above Facets and Meridian Bay on the Promenade. Thanks everyone in advance.

  2. I did a search and found the Pt Everglades ship schedule. We are leaving on Regal on the 8th of November, the Oasis is leaving Port Everglades on the 7th.

Can you get to the end of that area on the south side of Port Everglades, Ocean Dr. I believe it is? If memory serves me there is a Coast Guard station right there. Is that Beach public? or is the view better from the North side of the port?

  3. I hope this is the right area for this post.

So, we have been going to Florida for the last 10 yrs, done Key West, Fantasy Fest, South Beach, Orlando, Richard Petty, Daytona, Kennedy Space Center, Ocala, Ft Lauderdale, etc, But I have never seen a real alligator yet.

Not even when I returned a rental car to the Port Everglades Budget, and there was a sign " Caution, Alligator Lives in Canal" I watched for it, didn't see it. Even when we drove out to the middle of nowhere on hiway 41 for a few hrs and sat by that canal.

So now its time for a Everglades tour, which is the best one for a airboat ride and a good one to see all the Everglades critters?

  4. Hi everyone, Just off The Allure and got answers to any questions.

I have all the Compass's and most of the dinner menus. We were supposed to do Eastern but Hurricane Gonzalo changed that.

We had Aft Balcony 11728, right next to the open public deck, I booked the room with that in mind, there was hardly anyone ever on it, and its a great place to watch the Aqua Shows.

We missed Chicago, but saw Tony Tillman, which was great and the two comedians, I forget their names right now.

Ice Games was really good. Jerome was the cruise director and Katie from Freedom was there.

Our steward Allen Clair, he was awesome, and we had Ricco and Alex in the Adagio for My Time dining, they were great.

Captain Johnny of course is awesome, never met him in person though.

The Food was great, Prime Rib and Lobster was on Thursday, I think they changed the second formal night due to the itinerary change.

We didn't do specialty eating, but Rita's Cantina is great, Park Café has awesome sandwiches, the chocolate chip cookies are great.

Embarkation was amazingly fast, disembarking of course always sucks.

I like the was they do pictures now.

They did a really good job on the Boardwalk actually making you feel your on a Boardwalk, same with Central park.

But, of course there are always thinks you see that you don't like.

To me, I think the ship is too big, seems like at times the crew is overwhelmed, forgotten and wrong orders in the dining room, at break fast and lunch at least.

To me, in some places there is no ship feel, in Central Park, is so calm you forget your on a ship. not a bad thing though.

reservation idea is good, but in the dining room at dinner, reservations or not, your still waiting so not really sure why they do that.

And my biggest (out of a small list of things) They give you free hot dogs on the Boardwalk, but charge you 2.50 for 5 cents worth of popcorn? C'mon

But regardless of the small things, Allure is a great ship, and has amazing features, and they are building 5 more the same size, I guess the Allure size ships are not for me.

If any one wants pics or has questions I will post or answer them when we get home

  5. Hi Everyone.

Just off the Allure, and of course had to book our next cruise, going back to Princess.

I think the Allure is a great ship, just way to big.

It seemed the crew was overwhelmed and sometimes in places you could forget your on a ship.

Who can tell me about Regal? We booked balcony L115, forward balcony, I looked on Beyond Ships, but they had no pictures of it, and of course google just has stock photos.

    WOOT, hurry up November 8th

  6. Okay, can I bring up the reverse topic? Our first cruise was in January of 2006. We were supposed to go to Costa Maya and Cozumel. Because of the damage caused by Wilma (she was a problem, wasn't she?) we were unable to go to Costa Maya and went to Progreso instead. We even had to tender in Cozumel because of Wilma's wrath. Since that time, we have never gotten to Costa Maya...until this coming November when Navigator of the Seas is making a rare stop there instead of Belize.

    Pete

You didn't miss anything in Costa Maya, there wasn't anything there. We stopped there on our Norwegian cruise.

  7. So, whats the one place you got to visit as a fluke, that you haven't made it back to?

    Ours? Puerto Rico, or Tortola.

In 2005 we had a Western cruise planned, Princess Cays, Jamaica, Grand Cayman and Cozumel) but because of Wilma, we left the day before it hit Ft Lauderdale, we went down to Puerto Rico, St Thomas and Tortola.

Would love to go see Puerto Rico again, we got there at 5 and stayed till 12, but didn't really get to see anything, roamed around the city a bit and went to Sr Frogs.

Tortola was a beautiful place, my favorite picture is the Star Princess sitting in the Georgetown pier from the top of the hill.

We rented a car and cruised around to the other side of the island, Frenchman's Cay is a really neat place,

    What cruises go there regularly?
