  1. We were on this cruise also. Thanks for the review and beautiful pictures. Glad you had a wonderful time and finally rode the merry go round. I too had a great time riding it. I spotted myself on the picture of the dreamworks parade on the right side of the pic. I'm the one wearing black shorts and blue/purple strip shirt standing next to the lady wearing a pink shirt.::D. We had a great time.

Wow, I can't believe you found yourself in my photo! That's awesome! And amazing!! What a great cruise we had!

  2. Just returned from the Allure of the Seas, and we had a blast! I posted a review with lots of pictures, on my family blog......Feel free to take a look.

The ship is large, but we never felt crowded. I loved the boardwalk most of all, and the Dog house was my favorite place for lunch. We made all our reservations in advance, and it was so easy to plan around the shows we booked. The food was fairly good in all venues, and getting off the ship, was so easy....never had to wait in a line! I give this ship an A+:)

  3. We did not have official formal nights, they were called "dress up nights" and apparently anything goes. These were 3 and 4 night cruises and a lot of people wore shorts and pedal pushers to dinner. Much more casual than I have been used to. In fact some of the ladies shorts were so short .....that, well... lets just say I saw a few Butts hanging out as they passed my table!

  4. Hi Karen, we use Park'n Go - if you pre-pay it's $53.87 for the week. Our driver was very nice last time, he had worked on the Oasis and Allure in construction and told us some interesting stories.

    Hope this helps.

We have used park and go 3 times in the last 6 weeks, and they are awesome! Just got back from a trip yesterday, and will be posting pictures on my blog.....stop by and take a look for more tips!

  5. We spent the whole day there, and the kids had a ball! All the pictures of labadee were taken there. Just as you exit the ship, there is a boat you can board that will shuttle you there. There is lots of shade, bathrooms, and buffet is close.

  6. Just love reading these kind of threads on CC!

Karan, I love that red jacket you were wearing! Can you tell me where you got it or what brand it is?

That Jacket is from Chico's, and I've had it for several years! It is one of the most versatile pieces I own.....and goes with me everywhere! I'm glad you like it too.:)

  7. Whatever you do, have the agent make a note that you do not want upgrades. We had 2 connecting rooms, for 2 kids, and 2 adults. We were blessed with an upgrade, and ended up on opposite ends of the ship, 2 floors apart! Our cruise was awesome, but my husband and I ended up in different rooms! I wrote on my blog about the problem, and posted pictures of the ship....take a look if you like.
