D or E because it is less crowded down there

OK Nancy. Time to get up and start writing. I want more!
Andrew
I have not forgot about your shirt, I am just waiting for all the craziness to die down.

Does anyone know what the orange drink from the VIFP party was? They were much better than the red one.

Sorry, in your own words, you are dreaming

We plan on staying at the Rodeway Inn in Mt Pleasant. Check out http://www.charlestoncvb.com/visitors/special_offers/packages/stay/ for a list of hotels that provide parking, shuttles, or both.
We are staying at the Rodeway for the 3rd time in 2 years. Clean, good rate, breakfast included, parking and transportation to and from port

I dont normally read reviews but I just looked at the 2 you posted and all I can say is pffft. Sunday I will be boarding for the 3rd time on her and I have no concerns at all.

I have never had a cling and I am no small girl by any stretch of the imagination

You can carry on as much as you can handle as long as it fits thru the scanner.

Anyone know spa carnival pricing?
I asked the carnival rep about sauna and steam room and she couldn't find a price for me.

I was on this ship last September and just loved it, going back late September again. Can someone confirm Wee Jimmy is no longer cruise director? We really enjoyed him and I was looking forward to seeing him again. Also the asst Meagan was wonderful, anyone know if she is still on board? This ship is big enough to be fun but small enough to find your way around and meet up with the same people all week. The decor is just right and the staff real friendly. We also booked our first 4K instead of a Balcony so would love to hear about them. It looks like it is right between 2 lifeboats so hope we have a little view.
Come on over and join the roll call here http://boards.cruisecritic.com/showthread.php?t=1556777

Lasagna Bolognase (sp) ordered by another tablemate
Flat Iron Steak medium rare (Cooked perfectly. Andrew loved this so much he got one every night we went to dinner in addition to other entree's)
During dinner a member of the wait staff approached and asked if I was Nancy. Cautiously I said yes thinking maybe I was in trouble but that was not the case. One of my co-workers ordered some drink coupons for me!
The Andrew got another bucket o beer (Cost: $24.15 now that we are in intl waters)
We headed back to our cabin to change into comfy ship wandering clothes and to plug in the camera to charge. Here began the beginning of realizing my camera was starting a slow and steady decline. We had a chance to meet our steward IPutu. He was very efficient and constantly kept our cooler filled with ice along with the ice bucket. The room was always kept clean and at turn down service we always had our towel animal. It took him awhile to realize that the dollars we left for him on the mirror were for him to take.
Here is Iputu
And our room at turn down service. Doggie animal. I was kinda sad it wasnt the famous vagina towel this time around.
We had another glass of wine and the Andrew went up to lido while I waited for room service to bring a bottle of rum. Yep, apparently this ship is one of the ships that you can order rum from room service. We ordered a one liter bottle of Cruzan that lasted for most of the cruise. (Cost: $50.00) Yeah, I know that seems a bit steep but it really cuts down on the amount that we spend on a cruise to have "room rum". Plus it mixes well with the Guava Passionfruit OJ they serve in the morning. We would hit lido in the morning and fill my pink water bottle with the juice and leave it on ice in the room. Yum!
We had Iputu last month also. What a cutie he was. And I so agree with you about the noise. Cant count the times, I sat straight up in bed, it sounded like the ship was hit by a torpedo.

I suppose this one will be consistent with my first review title but with the word EPIC in front of it. :D
So, it should be "EPIC Carnival Fantasy Review with Pics/March 23, 2012 Sailing". Or is that too conceited? :o Not that I think the review itself is epic...but the trip itself sure will be.
OHHHHHHHHH, I am getting so flipping excited. Already planning this review in my head on how to make it different from the last one. I even intend on eating different foods this time so I can get different food porn pics. Except lobster night. That will remain lobster night. :p
You will get your chance at different foods. The menus were different last week than they were when we sailed her last in September.

That is great for your family. Have a wonderful cruise.

In September on the Fantasy, I hit for 1300.00. 2 coin quarter slot on the 4th day of the cruise

Great review and pictures. I am not even planning on sailing the Dream (not a fan of the big ships) but I am hanging on every word you write.
-
My flat iron steaks have never been served with gravy on them. Is this something new?
-
I will not be selecting a ship to sail because of 2.0, in fact its absence makes it more desirable to me.
I've no desire to sail on "Senior Frogs of the Seas".
Me either

The photos and video was very informative.
Are the 4K french door insides only on the larger ships? No Fantasy class 4K?
French doors only on the Spirit class ships (Spirit, Legend, Pride, Miracle)

On RCL, room service is free (before midnight at least, and when last I sailed with them). Is it also free on Carnival? RCL had a small room service menu, but all the items were complimentary. On another thread, someone mentioned "breakfast and sandwiches" being free with Carnival's room service. What about other food items? I'm interested in the Dream in particular unless room service and policies are uniform across the fleet.
Incidentally, I'm looking forward to trying Carnival's pizza--which I hope they offer free via room service. RCL's was ok but I've read that Carnival's is better.
There is no charge for room service items anytime on Carnival but it is customary to tip the server. You cannot get pizza thru room service.
This might help

Do the luggage tags need to be printed in color? I have yet to print them out but my in-laws printed them in B&W and laminated them. They look great but I thought they should be in color.
No, black and white is fine

Hi all,
Down to days :D. I've read several threads about luggage tags and I'm still a bit confused . After I've printed them, followed the fancy folding instructions and "laminated" them with tape, then what? Do you staple them around the handles? If so, do you carry your own stapler? Do I need to carry a hand full of zip-ties, and if so, how do you punch holes?
Thanks in advance,
John
I just punched a hole in them while I was still at home then waited until we were at the hotel to attach them with a zip tie. I always carry a bunch of zip ties in the little outside pocket of the luggage for when I might need them (like when TSA cuts mine off and does not put a new one on it and for the return trip home)

What is the Oasis? Sounds like our kind of place, fun!
It is one BIG cabana with lots of perks at a cost of only $1200.00
-
hmmm, either its a guarantee or a set cabin number.
if you are taking a guarantee-- you could get upgraded to a higher deck.
From reading--- the spa deck is smoke free. Certain balconies come with spa amenities. (but these cabins costs a deal more then reg balconies.)
find out what amentites you would get-- and cost reference them to what you are paying extra.
I thought the non smoking spa deck cabins were only on the Splendor and newer, not the Valor:confused:
New promotion!?!
