  1. Hi

It is $5 dollar minimum in the evenings so each bet has to be $5

You can bet on 5 numbers $1 each or all on one number

The tables can be busy and quiet and I prefer them to be busy so I can enjoy the social aspect.

The croupiers are generally very helpful and will explain all.

  2. We used tours by locals - poo is her name. She is excellent. We used her in 2015 and 2014 and both times faultless. She gives a wonderful insight in her country. Thoroughly recommend her.

  3. Very unusually when we booked our cruise in the far east in November Aqua class was cheaper( by just a few pounds) than all the the other cabins.

Having been in Aqua before and really enjoyed it we jumped at the chance to go again.

Pricing seems to vary greatly. I wouln't pay any significant amount extra for Aqua though.

  4. We were there last year in April 2015.

We had face to face immigration in the first port and no face to face after that.

I don't recall any immigration procedures in Mumbai.

There are shuttle buses to the green gate - couldn't say how many but we didn't wait.

Outside the gate it is a melee of people and noise.

In my view you should have something booked as you would be unlikely just to pick up a taxi/ guide as you can do in some other places.

We have a fabulous time and are going back next year for a longer me before joining the Journey to go thru the Suez Canal.

    Hope this helps.

  5. Can anyone help? Please

What would be the earliest time we could expect to be at the airport if the ship arrives at 6/7 am.im trying to work out the best flights to get back to the UK- probably flying via Miami

    Many thanks

  6. We applied direct to the Indian high commission ( link as above)

We sent them off on Monday 16th January .we were kept well informed as to progress by emails and texts ( all automated).

The passports were retuned by post on Saturday 23rd January.

Expensive particularly because of the postal orders but worth it

    Hope this helps

  7. I have just returned from aqua on the eclipse on 30th August.

You receive two small bottles of water each day and iced tea- changed daily. Three pieces of fruit which I guess if you ate would be replenished.

A small work out type bag with slippers face spritzer and lip balm.

The soaps etc are the same as concierge and the normal verandah cabins ( we were in a verandah cabin on deck 6 on the eclipse in May 2014)

There is perhaps a slightly enhanced shower mat on some days ( slightly thicker) towels are the same and the gold ones are for the pool.

The shower wasn't that good in my opinion. If you used the jets on the tower the pressure was lost from the shower head.

    Never saw a pillow menu.

You could have one complimentary on demand programme on the tv( we didn't use that)

Room service menu didn't seem much different to the other classes.

    Blu was fine

    Hope this helps

  8. We are hoping to do a back to back November 28th and December 5th 2015 from San Juan. The difficulty is which cabin. The ship is the summit . I looked at 8100 or 8102 but then read that it has a tiny balcony.

I want a balcony near(ish) to the elevators. - can be concierge or just usual . Trying aqua class this summer so not sure I want to do it again next year- especially as we will travelling with friends who wouldn't be in aqua

    .

also wondering if the suites are worth it- it will be a special birthday for me so might push the boat out so to speak.

So confused and have read so much that I don't know whist to chose - and I don't usually have this problem

Sorry this is so long but would be grateful for advice / help as I would like to book when I goon the Eclipse in a couple of weeks

    Thanks in advance

    Susan

  9. You have explained it very well and I guess I only see it from our perspective as we are only wine and beer drinkers:o And as we do prefer specific beer and wine I can sympathize with people about their preferred liquor. I am really not familiar with liquor brands or cocktails or what are "common brands/cocktails) (but am familiar with the Martini and Molecular Bar lol) So as long as they have my Pouille-Fume I will be happy - if not I will be joining you on this thread posting my displeasure:D

I just wish X would clarify the situation so the guessing can stop.

Sorry but whilst they do have pouilly fume( also, one of my favourites) it was outside the premium package at $16 and the limit on the premium is $15 !!!!! After trying several of the others to see if there was something in the package I liked I ended up paying the difference for each drink.

Also it was only available in MDR and cellar masters Murano of course.

  10. I was on the eclipse last week (2nd to 10th May) and had upgraded to the premium package.

I could have all the drinks at the molecular bar and all the Martinis.

Baileys was only available on the premium package - much to the annoyance of my friend on the classic package .

All top shelf drinks were available on the premium package but initially my friend ( Classic package)was served white rum for Bacardi until she questioned them on the first night and thereafter she got proper Bacardi. She also had piña colada

Can't say that there was much difference to last August my husband was able to have all the drinks he had enjoyed last year- beer and wine with a few mixed drinks as well.

My only gripe was with the wines- less selection on premium and overall less choice- for me that was the main disappointment.

  11. I was on the Eclispe last week - getting home on 10th may.

I had upgraded to premium package for the wines primarily - although I do enjoy other drinks.

I was most disappointed. The wines I had specifically upgraded for were now outside the premium package leaving with a choice of two that were included only in the premium package. The only wine I could drink was the Pinot

Grigiot at $9 - included in the Classic package.

Also the choice of wines ( red and white) in Cellar masters was poor and limited- nothing like previously.

I could obtain the better wines ( for me) in the dining room and cellar masters at extra cost ( just paying the difference ).

I took this up with the cellar master as requested by guest relations and he apologised saying the prices went up on 1st May.

I had little choice but to pay the difference for the reminder of my holiday - my choice I know.

My friend had the classic package and there no Martinis she could have and she was disgusted when having ordered one was told it was outside the package.it didn't help that the martini drinks list had no prices on them. There were also far fewer marines on offer than previously in the summer of 2013.

It seems a shame to reduce and restrict choice so much.

  12. Does anyone know when the refurbishment/embellishment of voyager is due to take place?

I have read variouslyJune and the the third or last quarter of the year.

There seem to be no cruises available from end June till mid august

We are on the 8th October sailing from Hong Kong and were the hoping for a bright fresh ship.

    Ant, body have an idea?
