  1. Yes, I agree. We should ask for the "I love you" to come back. It was fun, entertaining. I joined in saying it to strangers in the elevator. I can see some people may be a little annoyed, but seriously its not that bad. I'm annoyed with all the photographers on my way to dinner. Carnival is not making them stop. Sometimes we are all annoyed with stuff. I thought it got people to open up and be friendly. What's wrong with that!

To the OP. I'm platinum. I was not offended by your comment at all. :):)

  2. Of course you may do whatever you like whether it's on or off the boat. I still feel that you are no longer traveling if you don't go ashore and experience the country or Island extensively. Not caring where I would be going isn't cruising . That's like landing in a plane in London for a layover, not leaving the airport, and telling people you've been to London. I don't never plan avavation to go somewhere and ultimately go nowhere. Too many places in the world to see and experience to let it get to that point. Just my opinion, nothing more.

I still disagree with you. Cruising is not about just the port to some people. Sometimes its about getting away PERIOD. Relaxing on the ship. Sometimes I get off, sometimes I don't and I've gone to the same ports multiple of times. No Problems... I love it, just happy to be happy and enjoying myself. For me it doesn't take going to other countries to have a vacation. It takes getting away from the norm. As earlier stated by someone. Everyone is different. BUT please don't feel sad for me. I'm good. :):):)

  3. We got the $14.95 entire cruise. IT IS worth it. Just make sure you check out the times and show up at least 10 minutes early to make sure you get it. Seats are limited. We checked the schedule and made sure we hit each movie that was offered. DD10, DD 17, DH and myself. DD17 thought some were too kiddish, but still fun and worth it.

  4. A few years ago we had Victor Bodden. Great time. We did ziplining and saw monkeys. I'm curious where we were though. Zipling and Monkeys were at the same location. We played with monkeys first. Was that Daniel Johnson's place or was it somewhere else. We just told Victor we wanted to zip, but not sure of the place he took us to. Anyone know???

  5. Our cabin steward tried that trick on our last cruise...gave us an either/or and not both because he had too many cabins to clean. I told him that wasn't my problem and that I wanted twice a day and we got it. John Heald keeps saying that Carnival's policy is twice a day...up to the passenger if they want just once a day (mainly because some like to sleep in).

I plan to ask for twice a day on our Breeze cruise in 3 weeks. Hopefully they will.

  6. Can anyone tell me more about it. We've seen the monkey's and did zip-lining, this trip we just want a beach. No snorkeling, just a fun beach. We want to eat, play in water, and relax. It looks very shady here and that's a plus. Is the pool at the resort also open to cruise ship passengers for day? I don't hear much about this place. Any Info??

  7. I kind of miss the "old Grill" where you could get a burger, hot dog and chicken strips. I LOVED those chicken strips! And they had the pita chips and melted cheese. I always made "nachos" for a mid afternoon snack. Pita chips with chili and melted cheese and throw a scoop of sour cream on the plate. ;) Not complaining about Guys, but I wouldn't let it sway me from cruising a ship that didn't have one.

    Loved the chicken strips too!

  8. I've been to Technotel twice and am looking for all the pictures I took. I would go there again if I'm back in Progreso. The Autoprogreso bus will drop you off in the front of the hotel and you walk back to the beach area. There is a pool and a buffet with nachos, tacos, etc. I think it was near the pool. As you walk past there may be vendors set up but they stay in that area and don't come on to the beach. The bar is past the vendors toward the beach. The has been a mariachi band there both times around the pool and on the beach. It was crowded one time we went and the other it was less crowded.

Great info. I think I'll give it a try. I'm looking for somewhere with a pool and not just a beach. Any new info/pictures post please.

  9. Pull up the cruise plans for the Valor; if your new room is an 6B or higher (C, D etc) then you are equal or better.

Never hurts to call if you want to be more mid-ship. Personally, we don't notice much of a difference. Do you have issues when in the show lounge? How about up on the higher decks at the front of the ship. If not, I can't see that it would be an issue. But then again, I don't tend to sea sickness...

Not always sea sick, but yes, I always feel queasy in the lounge and comedy club. Actually I cant tell a difference from low to high decks, but more so forward to middle. The category is the same...just a different location. I might give them a call. Thanks

  10. I got my new reservation from Liberty to Valor. Cabin assignments are both 6B (ocean view) However, the Valor room is now at the very front of the ship verses mid-way. Not sure my tummy is going to like that. Is that considered an equal swap? Or should I inquire about it?

  11. I did at age 9, but not really. I would tell her she could sign herself out at 12 noon (certain time) and meet me at such'n such chairs, which would be located on the same deck, right down the way. Example if the camp was meeting at the dance club on the promenade. She felt independent making that little walk. I was watching the whole time. We didn't do this the entire cruise, just a time or two to see how she would follow directions.

  12. jiimmy2k- Just my 2 cents. I don't think you were rude at all and I don't think the poster took it to be rude either. It seemed like she understood.

Unless you are known for being rude on threads, could be why the responder took it that way. I don't know... I don't log on often. :) Happy Cruising.
