  1. So the beverage package is still combinable with the OBC offered.... so its either the BOGOHO or bev package + the OBC?

Yes, you can get either the BOGOHO + OBC or beverage package + OBC. The agent told me the beverage package was the premium package and was normally approximately $810 for 2. So assuming you were going to purchase the beverage package, it looks like a good deal for you.

  2. I changed our booking on Saturday from the BOGOHO to the beverage package. I ended up calling Royal Caribbean and having them change it for me. The first time I called the agent told me it wasn't combinable with the OBC. I knew that wasn't true so I told them I thought it was combinable. They ended up consulting with their supervisor who agreed with them.

So I hung up and called again a little while later. I finally got an agent who said it was combinable. Maybe there was confusion because it just came out. Hopefully by now they are familar with the new promotion.

We actually used our C & A balcony benefit so we didn't qualify for the OBC but a couple traveling with us did use it (and I was booking for them).

Sorry for the lengthy post. Bottom line...I would call Royal Caribbean directly to book so you can ask all your questions and make sure it is done correctly.

  3. So can you have reservations for the parents in the sweet and the kids in the adjoining room? I thought you had to have a kid in each room with an adult. Thanks!

We are booked in the Ben and Jerry's "sweet" on the Liberty in March. Our 2 girls are booked in the connecting room. We always have our kids booked in another room, either next door, or across the hall. We've never had a problem booking it this way.

  4. Are you charged the standard gratuities of $12 a day or do you pay the suite gratuities?

We prepaid our tips and they charged us $120 total for the 2 of us for 5 days, so I guess it's the standard gratuity rate. I hadn't even thought of the difference in gratuities. We plan to tip the conceirge for their service.

  5. I just booked a short 4 night 2015 Easter weekend cruise on the Liberty and was surprised and pleased to find the "Sweet" and adjoining PR cabin available. I grabbed it and it will be a surprise for the kids even though they are both college age now. They still love ice cream! :D

We are booked in the Ben and Jerry's suite on the March 28,2015 cruise which I believe is right before your cruise. Our girls are also in the adjoining cabin. They want to sleep in our stateroom. We'll see how that works out. I'm definitely not giving them the conceirge access, although we have promised them the ice cream vouchers.

  6. I second the hidden balcony suggestion. Also, if you are interested in the speciality dining look into the various packages offered. We were on the Oasis last week and had the Chefs package. We thoroughly enjoyed the chefs table and 150 Central Park. Park cafe has good food for breakfast and lunch. Also Johnny Rockets is good for breakfast. We went to the Solarium for lunch on he day we boarded and it was excellent. Watch the morning show on TV given by the cruise director Brooks.
