Giving an update… my husband had a heart cath on Monday and had blockage.. so had a stent put in.. Sooo doctor advises against the cruise. called celebrity and they said our TA had to be the one to cancel., she is on a family vacay in the Mediterranean.. finally got hold of her to cancel. The celebrity agent said TA would have to file a non insurance claim… but TA says she has never heard of it and therefore won’t work.. our feeling is it might not but why would agent say fill out non insurance claim if it doesn’t exist?? The good news is my husband is doing great!! And we just lost $$. thanks for all prayers and info.. will keep you posted if there is any new info for all!

We are booked on a cruise leaving in 2 weeks.. we did not take out insurance as we are healthy.. BUT now we aren’t!! my husband will be having a heart procedure one week before our cruise and probably will not be able to cruise.. I know we should have taken out the insurance and it was a gamble that we lost. my question is … has anyone had any luck getting the cruise line to give some of the $$$ for a future cruise? Or anything? There is still a small chance after his procedure that we will be able to go but highly unlikely. thanks

Thanks.. never done this guarantee thing before… and getting celebrity customer service to answer has been so frustrating! cruised on the apex is sept and loved it! just don’t understand the waiting for cabin assignment. and pessimistic husband is concerned that we won’t get the class of room “guaranteed”

We are sailing in the Edge feb 2!! we have a GTY Concierge cabin. when do you get the assigned cabin? we have tried emailing and calling, but have been on hold for hours!! concerned about flying out without an assigned room and room number in luggage tags? any ideas? thanks
