  1. DH and I rented a car in Santorini this past fall. Very easy. We visited Oia (before the crowds arrived), three wineries, wine museum and the ruins on the south end of the island and Fira. (The ruins were wonderful.) I studied and printed a map of our route prior to leaving home. We still took wrong turns, but that was half the fun!

I arranged for the car rental company to meet us at the top of the cable car. We were met there, filled out the papers and then walked to the car.

    Have a great time!

  2. DIY is very easy. My hubby and I did it two years ago. I copied pages out of a tour book with a map of Delos. Took a morning ferry over (just go to the ferry booth to buy tickets) and spent about three hours on the island. Be sure to visit the museum on Delos. Arrived back on Mykonos with enough time to see all the sights in town and do a little shopping. It was a wonderful day.

  3. I love this thread. The Festivale holds a place very close to my heart. My boyfriend and I sailed on her July 5, 1980 from Miami. That night under the stars, he asked me to marry him. On February 14, 1981 we were married on the Queen Mary in Long Beach. We have sailed many times (we are still happily married), but that ship holds special memories.

  4. The Festivale holds a special place in my heart. On July 6, 1980 (second night of the cruise) while on the bow looking out at the gorgious Caribbean night sky, my boyfriend proposed marrige. I accepted and we were married February 14, 1981 onboard the Queen Mary in Long Beach, CA. We have been on many cruises since then, but nothing beats the cruising experience of those long ago days.
