  1. This thread is about CRUISE DEALS ... for goodness sake for once STOP high jacking threads with dribble who cares what YOU prefer .... btw a quiet farewell from badgerbill this place is far from what it was i prefer what it was, not what it has become !!!!!

  2. I was just reading the Carnival liquor rules which of course are from USA It says we can take one bottle of wine 750 per person to drink in cabin free or pay $15 corkage (like Princess) Is this also available for cruises from Australia I thought it was only tins of soda allowed

According to Carnival Australia's "help centre" on the local website it's a NO one bottle of anything alcoholic.....bit of a shame I was hoping we could bring just the one;);)

    Liquor and beverage policy:

  3. Geez, what a pain!!

So next two are booked with an OZ TA, OBC, very low deposit, non refundable, but surprisingly the final payment date is the same as Royals

Hey Chez, can't blame you for swapping over, thinking of binning this reservation now, subscribe to the theory if it starts wrong it's going to keep going wrong, can't imagine transferring the booking will be easy with this one ;p:'):')

I still book direct with RCI in the US since we have a US address and they seem to be able to fix any issues I've had so far.

Hopefully someone will be able to sort it all out for you!

We still use our US agents for international cruising, bit sad you don't see the pricing that we got the Mariners repo from Bcn to Dxb for anymore though it was a steal ;) Local cruises I book here, keeps everyone happy.....

HAPPY TO ANNOUNCE: Just got back from rehearsing new songs and I received 2 emails from C&A just 65 minutes after I sent a "not happy" email this morning.... the booking is BACK to the original pricing and all OBC is accounted for.........and they actually sent the amended invoice with the apology ...... .hallelujah :'):')

  4. Guess one should never say it's fixed till you sight the corrected invoice....addressing my problem C&A emailed me the invoice amount as per the original booking plus the USD250 OBC attached which I agreed was correct ...too easy (y) ........ but..... some how the amount got lost in translation from them to where ever they go because today I received the new invoice and.....wait for it.............the price went up :'):'):') it's now $2577.46 more than the original invoice with only USD200 attached USD50 has gone AWOL.........;p:')

  5. From 2015

It all worked out in the end and we even received a free upgrade from our inside cabin to an aft balcony! :D

The system is so touchy makes one nervous now to even log on to one's personaliser..:'):')

Must say I admire your patience, I would have bailed around number 7 ;p;p good to hear of the upgrade.

I laughed when the call centre told me I would have to prove the error...hellllooooooooooo it's your job to investigate complaints not mine.....I have the original invoice pretty sure if they bothered to check the booking history they would have seen the error.......C&A obviously did

  6. Early June, Royal Caribbean emailed me an "unrequested" copy of our Guest Booking Invoice for a cruise in April next year, this cruise was booked and invoiced onboard Explorer of the Seas last November... only booked onboard for the bonus OBC as you do ;)...

Low and behold on checking this invoice it appears the total price has been re-fared and is now $1700.00 more than the original invoice and...... the US$200 OBC is nowhere to be seen........however a $50 OBC, an overcharge from the last cruise that I requested be added to the booking rather than refunded to us, is still there....!!!!

Have sent 2 emails to RCL and nothing so far, other than 2 "you are important to us" replies  yesterday I sent an email to the Crown and Anchor Society who have been great in the past resolving issues so hopefully all will be fixed up soon.......I did speak to the Call Centre whom in their infinite wisdom told me I would need to have proof for them to consider doing anything ....bollocks....

so please always double check any cruise line, not just RCL, guest booking invoice's be it the original and/or any extra's they send....;)

  7. Would love to say we are in a minus balance but alas we aren't in fact the pricing on a newly sent invoice for an onboard booking we did November last year has been manipulated to the point of being around $1700 more than the original invoice and low and behold the OBC is missing !!!!

Have sent 2 please explains to RCL and have just sent one to the C&A rep to see if they can help.....time will tell I guess

  8. Presumably it will be better than the shows we saw recently on the Pacific Dawn - they were shockers. :p

Don't count on it, when you pay peanuts you get monkeys....a lot of our music industry friends wouldn't be caught dead entertaining on a cruise ship now....these one song wonders that win or come a place on the awful talent shows of today might be able to sing a song but they can't entertain haven't got a clue how to work an audience...haven't earned their stripes like real entertainers do

On our Oceana cruise earlier this year an act, not much of one most left 3 song in, proudly spruiked about being a semi-finalist in Britains Got Talent...... we found out the winner that year was a DOG..... would rather have seen him.....

It makes me laugh we already pay for the entertainment in our cruise fare you know the "free" lol shows and now they want to make you pay to see a so called better class of entertainment ....what a load of bollocks.... and unless the named chef is actually cooking for me you can't stick the charge where the sun doesn't shine..... you are paying for a menu cooked by some random chef....omg..... :loudcry::loudcry:

  9. We cruised Singapore to Sydney on Carnival Spirit in September 2015 after two weeks in dry dock in Singapore for renovations. Many of the renovations were incomplete at departure time and all passengers received a reimbursement of 25% of their cruise price as compensation. We still managed to have a good time but I agree that atrium is an eyesore. Hope you have better luck!

Thanks.... we had the builders in on Mariner of the Seas repo from Europe to Asia a few years back so you could say we are experienced in cruising on a building site ;);p:'):')

    Hey there;p

We were going to book this one, but have gone with Aria, Singapore/Brisbane in August 2018, mainly because it is shorter and we havent been to the ports. I am assuming it is out of dry dock also.

I really liked the Spirit, when you get past the decor. Loved the adult only area aft, lots of bars, liked the buffet layout too. Cabins were a good size Found the drink expensive though.

Naww we finally nearly got to meet, it's only been around 10 years since we met on here ......lol......maybe next time. Lovely itinerary the Aria is doing..... :)

  10. I pity the poor Brits if there are expecting something like Arcadia! lol. Tablecloths yes, class no. Although I did enjoy my cruises and going on Spirit again in 2 weeks.

Jane if they have ever cruised PO Oceana then they will feel right at home on the Spirit......;p Much to Johns dismay:o, he's not a lover of the Spirits depressing atrium decor, I am booking the Spirits repo post dry dock Singapore to Sydney next June .....fingers crossed they gut the atrium :'):'):')

  11. My post today on the RCl board Deployment 2018-2019 thread....:)

"I may be way off course here but..............Radiance of the Seas April 2018 Transpacific, which we are booked on, is surprisingly showing "sold out" 11 months prior to sailing ...... lucky for RCL if she is clear.png?emoji-roll-eyes-1744 however not one to believe everything one see's I went searching Australian ports schedules and low and behold find her in Darwin on Wed 19 September 2018 !!!!!! that's around the time of year she would depart from Honolulu for her transpacific....... ..clear.png?emoji-confused-1977clear.png?emoji-confused-1977 can't be in 2 places at once. Smoke screen, error or ???????"

  13. Unfortunately the Mariner of the Seas repo dates don't work for us :( so looks like we will need to wait until the repo to Asia in 2019 of the new Quantum Ultra-class ship is revealed.....hoping it will be around April, May......if she goes ;)....... yet another down the Suez for us can never quite get the up the Suez cruises lined up...... :'):')

  14. We did Galveston to Dubai and I am definitely going to try to be on her from Singapore back to Miami. I love this ship! Hope there is a port stop in Egypt again.

This cruise was one of the best we have done, loved having the 2 days in Alexandria, hoping for something a little different for the return :D, time will tell.

Any idea of what time of the year the repo will be...ooops just saw WaveSplashers post :)
