  1. Well call me weird or not,i like my toast cold.Toasted the night before, lightly buttered and put in the fridge.

Alah in the morning its like cold rubber,(love it)

Yay i am not the old weird person when it comes to cold toast..... I toast my toast at least 15 mins before eating.......yum..... :D:D.

I hate it hot or even warmish... and most of all I hate it when the marg melts into it..... ..... don't eat butter ... my mums fault ...as a kid at school our daily cheese sandwich had the butter ten times thicker than the cheese.... dry retch here :eek: i survived on the crusts.....

  2. She was one of my all time favourites, quirky, rabbit warrenish but beautiful in her own special way.... we cruised on her 3 times, never encountered any problems she was clean and the crew the happiest we have ever met on the high seas.... thanks for many wonderful memories "beautiful white lady" :) ..... for lovers of the Holiday class you can always cruise onboard her older sister......world cruising .... MS Magellan ....

  3. At least you had a confirmation. I spoke with Royal Caribbean UK (in Guatemala ) as did my TA only within the last couple of hours and they denied any changes.

As my TA said to me, you will probably find out first on Cruise Critic. What away to run a company.

As a call centre until the screen tells them it's a cancelled cruise they won't confirm it.... sad for us :(:(

  4. Anyone know what Legend is doing after arrival Barcelona 26 March 2017.

Pullmantur :D:D after the awful Hkg to Bne repo last year I suggested in my customer satisfaction survey that if they didn't want to look after her they should ship her off to Spain :D so if it happens it's "my fault" by the way we are booked on the Singapore to Venice sectors in May ....oh happy days

  5. A few years ago P & O UK were going to use the AZURA for a world cruise (starting and returning to the UK) and many had already booked but as they did not reach the expected pre-bookings, cancelled the cruise. They now use smaller ships for their WC's.

Azura was mentioned for a worldie i think 2018 but alas not to be she is now showing as booked into Sydney ports for Feb 2019 :eek::eek: however that year the Aurora and Arcadia are also booked in.....can't see all 3 coming so hoping the Azura does...:D have cruised twice onboard Arcadia she is a lovely ship and hope to cruise Aurora soon .....price watching a longish sector of her next world cruise ...as we speak ;)

I don't think much of the blog and agree with Les ... in a blog I want warts and all......good, bad and indifferent..........instead of Princess handing out a freebie i would have been happy to PAY half price for the world cruise to do a 24/7 blog....guess that would have been a little "risky" for Princess not that I have ever been accused of over exaggerating in my reviewing ........bahahahahahaha....can't help it if i call it as i see it............

As for 10 days at sea, isn't there a ruling somewhere about how many days at sea pax ships are allowed to do.. thought 10 was max however could be wrong, anyway 10 days at sea for us...........bliss

  6. I still have lots of time, but I will need to locate a company that will cover this pre-existing ...what are my chances? I don't feel comfortable travelling without it, but may have no option.

Has anyone had any success locating a company that will cover heart disease in the USA?

    Cheers,

    Anna

    Hi Anna

A little dated was in 2014... we used Insure and Go when we cruised from LA back to Melbourne we were gone around 29 days. To cover my Johns pre-existing triple bypass and coronary artery disease it was an excess of $700 on top of the standard policy charge....he was on no meds and had never had a heart attack I believe that changes the pricing.....thought it very reasonable and money well spent, had he had any problems that could be linked back to the condition and we had no cover we would have waved bye bye to the house :eek::eek:

  7. We booked the Dover to Sydney sector around 6 weeks ago direct with Princess , reason being we can have cruise refared should the price drop and deposit is fully refundable, up to a certain date of course. We know the cruises are popular and don't imagine our sector, due to the great itinerary, will be discounted much if any.... We got a very healthy $1800 OBC so not overly worried, still very reasonably priced for us at just under $210 per night. Should one book now or wait ...we'll if you like a gamble and cabin position isn't an issue play wait n see and check fares often .....if you really want to go and are picky about cabin selection ... consider booking early. :D:D

  8. All of the visiting American ships use USD not just Legend and we have several based here for 6 or 7 months so i dont think that is the sole reason for Legends unpopularity. Radiance, Voyager and Explorer are all doing reasonably well in the popularity stakes - at the moment.

However, i do agree that Royal/Celebrity do need to seriously look at using Aussie dollars whilst based here for the bulk of the year plus the repo's.

This repo smacks of the Rhapsody repo to Europe. Pity, already booked with family on Voyager in April.

Never said it was the sole reason but do believe it is a major factor...

Feel free to correct me if i am wrong but aren't the Diamond Princess and Golden Princess now AUD onboard whilst here for the summer season.... if so if Princess can do it....so can RCL......

  9. Just guessing but would Mariner need a refurbishment from her predominantly Asian market?

Legend of the Seas is perfect for smaller ship cruising in Europe:)... as for being unpopular I believe it is more so the fact they insist on USD onboard ..... this is something that needs addressing especially as they spend the better part of 6 months a year here....... time they changed....

We did Mariners Asia repo from Barcelona, onboard renovations were happening as we cruised.... more gambling venues and high end shops were created ...bars were sacrificed as Asians prefer gambling to drinking....from what I have been told some of these area's have already been altered back..... perhaps readying her for a shift ;):D:D

  10. Bookings open for Legends Brisbane to Venice repo April 2017, rumour has it she will return to Brisbane December 2017 .. time will tell !!!! ... i'm tipping Mariner to join us, lovely ship ... don't mind Fishermans Is boarding until GC cruise port is built all car storage have transfers :) Not fussed on this ship but ports and timing are great so will book Singapore to Venice via US agency during Easter Sale, even with AUD/USD conversion still ahead hopeful now of some USD OBC. This cruise fits well with our return to Aust from Dover onboard Sea Princess in July.... :)

  11. Surprised these never made it onto the board yesterday.....some great deals still available from Royal Caribbean direct for their Royal Valentine Sale..........we have no time left to do them:(:( repo to Singapore crazy price ;)

    BEST BUY.............;)

APRIL 3 LEGEND OF THE SEAS EX BNE 8 NIGHTS FROM $653.04 INSIDE GTY PP

  12. On both it was the Southampton/Sydney sectors which had the greater numbers.

Sigh..... in that case are they not known as "half world sectors" ??? ...and........banging them together does not maketh a world cruise especially when they were done 5 years apart...lolololololol...:D

Arcadia is currently doing a fantastic 115 night "World Journey", P&O's words not mine, her "South America and Japan Adventure", following as we have friends onboard, weather has been brilliant for viewing the Chilean Fjords the glaciers absolutely stunning.......might have to reconsider a cruise in this region.... they are doing all 115 nights so the entire world journey.........;)

  13. We gate crashed Arcadia's world cruise a couple of years back .... 28 nights worth...was it a world cruise ........no and we don't skite about it being one.... sheesh the ego of some.........

Big difference between stating one has done a "world cruise" compared to one who has "cruised around the world". :D

I agree anytime is good for a world cruise if you have the time and the money go for it.... as for kids onboard world cruises each to their own but personally the likes of PO UK's Arcadia which is adults only is more attractive to us, great to have choice :D:D

Disclaimer: I have nothing against children I successfully raised two :D

  14. What about packing a box of disposable gloves...to be sure, to be sure!

.... love it and don't forget to pack the surgical masks too:rolleyes::D

Have been lucky and so far avoided any type of gastro whilst onboard, head colds and cabin cough not so lucky... but it happens....I put this mostly down to fluctuating onboard temps and the air con....:D

We always sanitize on entry and exit in any of the food areas and I am probably in the minority with this one but I have a rule that each time I go back into the self serve area's during a meal, even if it's just for a thingo of butter or a drink, I reuse the hand sanitizer ....at the end of the day it's up to you to protect yourself as much as possible...:)

  15. Our last cruise Hong Kong to Brisbane one group of 8 youngsters aged from 5 to maybe 10, obviously too good for kids club and bored, decided to build themselves a cubby house under the stairs on deck 2..... they strung up towels, ate there, played in the lifts and were way way too noisy. This group of children were seen daytime and late into the night generally making nuisances of themselves ....never ever saw them with a parent guessing they boarded with at least one or a guardian:eek::eek:

Not one to confront any parent on a ship or land about the behaviour of their "precious angelic little mites" a call to security saw them evicted and then crew were sent in to clean up the mess :mad: should have been the parents in my opinion;) ..... two days later they were back.... another call had them removed immediately....security are great but they can't be everywhere and see everything so it's up to the rest of unruly children.

What scares me most is the attitude parents have that their children are totally safe onboard....are they really so naive to think that " UNDESIREABLES" don't cruise !!!!!!!!!
