Congratulations. I have seen the topic of appointing a AUS/NZ host here on the boards for a little while now and glad to see someone has been appointed! Forgive me for asking, but what is your role? I have seen hosts mentioned on the Princess site on occasions and always wonders what their role was.
Sorry if this is a stupid question.
Hi Fletch thanks for the congrats ... no stupid questions here hope i can explain it okay ... still have my L plates on .. ... my role here as a host is basically to oversee in the background what is going on, keep our forum a friendly peaceful place and to be of help wher I can .. As a member of CC I can still post as a contributor bearing in mind any posts made by me will be of my own opinion. Being very new to my position here Laura may be able to explain better for me 😊

Hi Shiona - welcome as our host! Your old username rings a bell. Hope you find the host position a bit of fun.
While I like to go over to the dark side and visit the RCI and Celebrity boards from time to time (they get very serious and snippy sometimes), the Aussie/NZ is my first port of call most days, and it is a much more relaxed atmosphere here. :) The threads wander around from the original subject every now and then, and that ends up being a good laugh more often than not.
It is nice that they finally allocated us a host. I am sure Louise has done more than we realise to keep it nice here, and thanks to her for that also. :)
Hi Goodycruising whoops hope it was a good bell the old me rang lol i to love the carefree not too confrontational helpful attitude we Aus/Nz'ers have adopted ...it's what we are all about.
I also say a big thanks to Louise for keeping us all under control :) and i am sure she will agree that at the moment we have a wonderful bunch of CC members here and hopefully many many more will join us.

Let me be the first to congratulate you. Don't envy you keeping us on the "straight and narrow" so to say. No cruise booked at the moment as DH is heading for major surgery early next year. But that doesn't stop me reading CC (A & NZ) every day. Keep the information flowing everyone.
Thanks happysnapper.... don't mind the straight and narrow having a few slight bends here and there....:D .... just before the surgery pick a cruise you both really want to do.... got to have that reward to look forward to after the big surgery...helps mind, body and spirit......;)
And another congratulations from me ShionaHave to be on my best behaviour:p
(hello Happysnapper from a gloomy Port Macquarie today)
Chez
Thanks Chez..... best behaviour .....:eek::D:D

Thank you Tanya now I know what to use.
KiwiKruzer Although I also have a Portunus number for P&O UK so should not the Cunard no be the same as that one? instad
I booked an Arcadia cruise last week and my old PO UK loyalty number has been replaced with my Princess one :) Earlier this year i booked a Ventura cruise old number was still active so must be a fairly recent change... in my opinion a good one..
You would have to be very selective with your choice of cruise. Good luck. A massive currency change could wipe out any gain in booking with overseas agents.
Been doing it a long time now David know the pitfalls ;) we aren't overly selective we pick what fits into our travel plans we know how much we want to pay and watch like hawks ... the only thing it costs us in the planning stages is time .... and $1US for a price watch on the cruise ...
Can i ask why is the size of your text sooooooo small... -
As far as the USD ships go my money will be better spent back with my US agent where 1. my cruise fare is much cheaper still ahead even with the exchange rate ....2. getting price drops isn't a battle.. 3... cancellation fee's etc if any are fair and 4. where the likes of free prepaid grats , obc and even drinks package's are more readily offered without the cruise fare being jacked up dramatically the way it is done here !!! .... if i play my cards right and bide my time we , like before, might even get all 3 :)
I have 2 big international cruises to book with RCL so Diamond status helps reduce our drinks account just need to hunt down OBC's and/or free grats ..if the exchange rate is fair will pay in full when i book if not will wait and watch that too lol .... getting more for our money is what it is all about for us so the hunt is on:)

So anyhow 3 weeks is still pretty quick for an allocation on a booking for early 2017.
Sure is cruising tomorrow gty booking and still have no advised allocation ... bahahahaha :eek::eek::p
