Perhaps Willie's station was changed as a result of survey feedback. We were not impressed. Just MHO, your mileage may vary. :)

We have this cruise booked as the second half of a b2b. It may have been chartered as all stateroom categories now show as NA. I called RCI today and was told it is 'code red', no new bookings.... A web search on ship and sail date didn't turn up any charter info. Anybody heard anything? Thanks.

Kathy, I had a call from my DW, now onboard the Rhapsody, and she says the Victor Baruch, the Concierge, is a wonderful person, but the CL itself, is the smallest that she has ever experienced.

 

The first night he had a few that had to sit in the Viking Crown Lounge, and by last night, they had blocked off half of the VCL just for the Concierge Lounge guests.

 

I wanted to pass on the good report on Victor.;)

Having just returned from the 30-Apr to 11-May Honolulu to Vancouver repositioning cruise on Rhapsody, I wholeheartedly agree with Rick's DW. We found Victor to be charming and helpful. I specifically confirmed that PC and D+ members are welcome in the Concierge Lounge. Victor said he's going on vacation beginning June 15th. Forgot to ask about his fill-in.

The Diamond Concierge is Mone't Morning, who is equally charming and helpful. Mone't (yes, with apostrophe) is going on vacation beginning June 1st. We also forgot to ask about her fill-in. Hopefully someone currently onboard will remember to ask. :)

Is it confirmed that Captain Rob will be moving to Rhapsody? Radiance looks like it will be needing a captain and Vancouver is close to Seattle for Captain Rob's home. Maybe I'm just hoping as we have sailed twice with Captain Rob on Grandeur and would love to have him on Radiance next summer!

Having just returned from the 30-Apr to 11-May Honolulu to Vancouver repositioning cruise, I can confirm that Captain Rob is currently on the Rhapsody. We thoroughly enjoyed his wit and sense of humor, especially during his noon updates. He ended his final one with the following gem (I'm paraphrasing): "We'd like to thank you from the bottom of our hearts for choosing Royal Caribbean for your cruise vacation. We hope you enjoyed giving us the business as much as we enjoyed taking you for a ride." :D

Steve, wouldn't Victor also be the Concierge for D+ and PC Members? I'm curious because usually the email address doesn't include "Suites" in the title.

I thought the email address was unusual, too. As you know, Rhapsody was just renovated and received a concierge lounge and diamond club. We're in a GS for this cruise so we'll visit both venues. I'll find out while onboard and report back.

Hi Irene & Miles,

If memory serves, it's Francois Roux. Francois was the Concierge on our Serenade sailing last February (2011). We found him to be very pleasant and accomodating. We were in a GS and did receive an email from Francois prior to the cruise. Hope this helps. :)

I see that Francois (last name unknown) will be on the Serenade of the Seas in May 2012, when we are sailing from Barcelona to Turkey. I wish I knew what his last name is. Does anyone know? What kind of information can we get by e-mailing them, I have never done this before but am interested this time. It will be a 12 day cruise with a 4 day pre-cruise.
