  1. I really want to do this excursion , hubby and I did one like it in Grand Caymen. We ended up taking a private tour because the boat wasn't one of Carnival's cattle boats...the old knees are not what they used to be and I'm wondering if you do have to board a "cattle boat" and go to where the stingray are, if so we need stairs on the boat and not those stupid ladders...thanks guys...

  2. Ok it's been two years since I've cruised..this one is for our 15th anniversary and we are going in June since I teach and school has already started in August when our really anniversary rolls around. So we are going early :) But I've read nothing but bad reviews many say there isn't a lot to do on these Islands..we have beautiful beaches at home I just wanted to see local culture and historical type things..lighthouses,etc...what do you guys think? Thanks in advance for the help

  3. This will be our third cruise coming up on 11-6-11..I'm usually a thrifty gal but splurge on some things.

We always bring our own water/soda

I bring my own non alcoholic beer ( Becks or St. Pauli) I HATE O'Douhls and thats all Carnival serves :(

We bring a few bottles of asti spumante...it's sweeter than champagne

we book excursions with private providers

I go in with a certain amount of money expecting to lose it mind you but I do take a certain amount to the casino. It's my grownup fun :D

    No spa,art,etc..here

I do buy a few photos because I love them ,..budget them in

We just go to enjoy our time together and never do anything we don't want to! ;)

  4. I go to the Purser's Desk when I get onboard and prepay my tips in cash and usually put 500-700 on our account even though we don't use it all. But I've discovered on my few cruises that we are sooo laid back we don't use the dining room, we just become free spirits and eat whatever, wherever. Do I have to TIP the maitre' d and waitstaff when we don't grace the dining room?

  5. I was all gung ho about doing maybe the Bucaneer Stingray Tour and of course my 9 year old son had 4 gazillion questions..he loved the late Steve Irwin and knows how he died. He was immediately asking if that could happen to us. Now I'm sure these are smaller and used to people but any help you can give me to help reassure him would be great!

    ;)

Also would we have enough time to shop in Grand Caymen if we do the Stingray Tour?

Any MUST see things we should do?
