We have done the Princess Chef's Table and enjoyed it immensely. If you would like a more personalized dining experience, this is it. The chefs, sommelier, and sous chefs came out to our table to describe the food and wines and pairings before each course, which were exquisite. Highly recommended!

Thanks, we've done the Chefs table but it's been a few years so what I really needed is an update on the pricing and the current menu. We also, enjoyed it tremendously.

We are sailing on the Grand in June and are thinking about doing the Chefs Table.

I would like to hear from anyone who has had recent experience with this, your thoughts, the cost-with/without alcohol and the menu.

The 500's would be a better choice if you are looking for mid ship and motion stability however these cabins are located quit high on the deck plan. The lower the deck the better if you are really looking for less movement.

I had a blast, as I am sure most of you know by my antics. That's who I am and if I have offended anyone, then that's just to bad. Life is short and I intend on living it to the fullest !!

What time is everyone going to the ship?

Carnival always sends an email stating you should arrive around 1:30pm. But we plan to head over to the ship around 11am, I'd rather wait there than at the hotel:D

I hope all my East Coast and Canadian friends are hanging in there! it won't be long now till we're all on the cruise!

Is anyone else, especially my fellow Canadians, having trouble filling out checkin on the Carnival site?? I have been trying for days and it won't let me enter certain info and then keeps resetting !!

For those of us going to the Ale House pre-cruise Feb. 7th, and staying at the Springhill Hotel, I contacted the shuttle service at Springhill and told them we needed transportation to the Dinner. They said it would be $5 pp. I forgot to ask if that was for round trip or just one way. I said as of today what I could see from the posting that our group was at 12 people so far. Truegrit

Thanks for the info but we will probably walk there. I can't see spending $20 for 2 people when it's just a 10 min walk. Shoot we've walked a lot further on excursions, unless it's raining or really cold of course then I might be persuaded to take the shuttle:)

For those that aren't sure what is involved, here is an explanation

Each cabin has a deck of cards and as the crawlers arrive they pick a card and then host cabin writes down their pick on the scorecard.

The host cabin can also participate, and sometimes they decorate or offer up some refreshments of some sort...maybe something from their hometown.

At the end,we tally up the scorecards and find the winning hands.

There will be 1st place,70%, 2nd place,20% and 3rd place 10%...also a

"boobie" prize for the worst hand ;0)

Also if you would like to crawl without offering your room, then please let me know, so I have an idea of how many scorecards/cheat sheets to make up. Now don't be shy, because anyone can play even if you don't know how...that's what the cheat sheets are for !!!!!!

Awww...sorry to hear you have to drop the first leg Robin :( At least we still have the 2nd to make up for it :D;)

9 months....well I know it will go alot faster than pregnancy TeeHee ;)

We wanted to book Alaska so something had to give. Like I told Amy we've been to 2 of the ports on the first leg and it's a shorter cruise so it got the boot.

Pregnancy, I remember those days, 3 of my kids were summer babies.....June, July, & August, must have been those long winter nights.

You will be in good company with Rita and Jay and Ernie and I. We will have to arrange a pre cruise dinner for us 2nd weekers.:)

That's a great idea Lenore, remember how fun lunch was at Dukes! We plan to fly in the night before, probably SW out of Sacramento.

Carnival site "Early Saver" was $20 pp lower on the 2-2 cruise and $50 pp lower on the 2-8 cruise for our balcony cabins.

We're still $10 lower than the current price for the 2/2 leg so no price drop there yet.

Howard LOL MARCUS AND I WERE BOTH FREEZING !!!!!!! It was like 70 degrees the wind was howling and I do believe there was some frost forming on the windshield of the taxi that brought us over.... LOL and that was before the drinks arrived. !!! Im so glad you and Kathy are up for another round with us !! Wait til ya meet Suzi you aint seen nothing babe til you seen her having some fun !:D

UH.... I don't know about that Amy, I remember some crazy new Yorker ;)dragging me up onstage in front of the whole ship and dancing like we owned the night.....no one else was brave enough to join us, lol:D
